If you're interested in how they come up with towing capacity, look into the SAE J2807 testing. I wonder what the 2025 1500's failed at to now a lower tow rating. What does the RHO fail at to have a 8300 lbs max tow. I'm guessing it has to do with cooling. I heard the diesel Gladiator was under...
You'd think they would be selling like hot cakes considering it's the end of the Hemi and no one wants a 6 cylinder according to those on this forum. LOL
Does anyone here know what percentage of v8 engine are sold in Ford F150 trucks. I seldom see a V8. Maybe Stelantis saw the low percentage of V8 sold by Ford and thought 6 cylinders will work for them too.
I'll be trading for an RHO soon. I'm having a hard time dealing with the thought of my hellcat leaving but I'm doing it for tax purposes and having a fresh warranty. I'll get over it.
Should I sell mine outright or trade? Does NADA's average trade value use the msrp of the new truck or the...
I found this. The HO is rated lower than the SO. Im sure the HO, only available in 4x4 vs 4x2 with the SO is part of it along with all the options that are standard with the upper trims.
They could offer a hurricane with all the upgraded parts of the ho but not at that hp. Maybe 440 hp and 520 lbs.
Also, diesel have had turbos for years and years without much of an issue. The turbo issues started with the use of the variable vane mechanism. The Hurricrane doesn't have this add on.
Has anyone seen the towing capacity or gcwr chart for the 2025's. The max towing has been posted everywhere but nothing about a Tungsten 4x4 crewcab with the gear ratios available. The max towing advertised would be for a stripped down 4x2.
I wonder if that amount is paid by Stelantis or the dealer? Or if it's 50/50¿ It would be nice to buy a truck under invoice and get $5,000 more off of that.
Did you document the temperature and wind speed on each trip? It probably will effect mpgs the most but retarding the spark to stop knock will effect efficiency. How much, I don't know. Maybe an actual engineer will speak up and help us out without telling all of us, that we're all stupid.
The name of the thread is "RHO towing". I guess i should have added "more than the trx" I assumed the audience here would would read that part in. The attached shows the increased towing limits over the TRX.
