    Tonneau Cover advice

This is in Solidworks, but just conceptual. I would need to do some measuring to get it dimensioned properly. I don't think TPU would be rigid enough to span that gap. Take a look at yours.... the combination of the void behind the tailgate skin and the one behind the bedside panel where it...

    Tonneau Cover advice

Here's a little less crude sketch...... The red is a plastic angle, the black is rubber that is glued to the angle. The angle is bolted through the hole with the existing bolt in the photo. In the front, the rubber tucks under the plastic bed rail cap. On the side, the rubber is cut so it just...

    Tonneau Cover advice

Back to this thread now..... I think the tailgate design makes it almost impossible to seal. The inside edges of the tailgate and the bed are almost diagonal from each other, so there's no surfaces to seal between (see the radius molded into the corner of the rubber bumpers). Also, the way...

    Bed Lighting Kit

I posted a long response to you last Friday about how I thought mine was staying dry and why (Post #76 here). Later that same night I noticed mine was a damp. Truck had been sitting for days, but in the rain. I let it dry out Saturday, then drove 1.5 hours in a hard driving rain that evening...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Added bed lights (and replaced the cargo and 3rd brake lights with LED). Details of the project here.

    Bed Lighting Kit

I loved the idea of magnetic mounting, but the Lux Lighting seemed a little steep to me. If I was putting it under the truck, I would pay up. Under the bed rails is pretty low risk (in my opinion, anyway). I opted to make my own magnetic mounts. I purchased these lights and these magnets...

When is FCA dropping SiriusXM from Connected Car capabilities given current disaster?

Yep... same here. I gave the sames guy my "junk" email, but set up my Mopar account with my "real" email. Mine took a service ticket and 3 days to resolve. I still haven't felt patient enough to try it to see if that fixed the problem. Same here also. I've found that remote starting seems...

    Eco Mode light stopped working

Tow/Haul mode will also disable it, I believe.

New recall on power adjusting pedals

I called the local dealer today (not where I bought the truck, but the same owner) to schedule service, fix an issue with my 12" screen flickering when adjusting the recline on the passenger seat, and get this recall taken care of. The rep that I spoke to said that the couldn't perform the...

    Tonneau Cover advice

Rampat, something I noticed about your installation that may be affecting your seal. The way your clamps are installed is not consistent and can actually have a pretty big effect on the clamping force. In the attached photo (from your post), clamp A has significantly more clamping force than...

    People with gas mileage issues

Mine has been steadily improving. 14-15 to start, 17-18 at 6600 miles. I was very skeptical of the claims I read here about mileage improving from new, but I am a believer now. ECO mode seems to stay on a lot more now also. Here in Iowa, wind is the biggest factor regarding fuel mileage...

When is FCA dropping SiriusXM from Connected Car capabilities given current disaster?

I was after Apple Car Play primarily. I had used it on several rental cars and really liked it. I got the 12" because the truck I wanted had it. If I'm being 100% honest, I was biased towards that particular truck because it had the 12" screen :sneaky:. My experience with OEM systems had me...

    Suggestions on a Rebel order

Two things I would add that are not that expensive..... rear wheel well liners and a trailer brake control. I know you aren't interested in the tow package (I assume because of the mirrors), but the brake control is only about $300. If you're the kind of person that's worried about forklift...

    Random part in new truck

It also jumps out the tailgate closed switch so you don't get a nuisance alarm with the tailgate removed. I discovered it a few days after delivery. I had to call the salesman to figure out what it was. He was apologetic about net telling me at delivery. I didn't get the full delivery...

Uconnect remote app commands not working after a while

I've been watching this thread, hoping this gets resolved. Same deal... after the truck sits a while, the app won't connect to the truck. I read a while back that the Uconnect app was the only app going forward and that the Guardian app was no longer supported. I could only get the Guardian...

    Truck Wiring Material

    Front Passenger Legroom

Has anyone else noticed the lack of legroom in the front passenger seat of their crew-cab? My wife mentioned this when we bought it, but I convinced her it was just because the dash came out closer to her than our previous truck. My son sat in it for the first time, and his knees hit the dash...

    Spreadsheet for maint

You can kind of do this in the Mopar owners site. It's not very intuitive (and no app), but it does allow you to save any non-dealer maintenance in the same place that dealer service and recall work is stored.
