Looks Like I've Got The Dreaded Leak Also!

It is certainly hard to pinpoint. Let us know what you find when you drop the headliner.... and good luck!

Looks Like I've Got The Dreaded Leak Also!

So I went out and removed the third brake light to look inside with a flashlight. Here is what I found: - The headliner as far as I could reach my hand was dry. - The bottom side of the shark fin was dry. - No water running along the bottom edge of the CHMSL channel - A tiny drop of water at...

Looks Like I've Got The Dreaded Leak Also!

As with all of us dealing with water leaks, I wish you the best of luck in finding the source.

Looks Like I've Got The Dreaded Leak Also!

I'll check into the shark fin also. It's too bad that any of us are dealing with this. Thank you for the reply.

Looks Like I've Got The Dreaded Leak Also!

No sunroof and I barely use my slider in fear of the window surround crack happening.

Looks Like I've Got The Dreaded Leak Also!

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry you had to do it twice! I'm hoping it is the CHSML and nothing more.

Looks Like I've Got The Dreaded Leak Also!

Thank you for the reply. I think it is sad that ANY new truck owners are having to deal with water leaks no matter the make. There are 1980's truck still running around that never had a drop of water get inside. Embarrassing for the engineers at FCA as far as I'm concerned.

Looks Like I've Got The Dreaded Leak Also!

The window surround is not cracked at this time. Although there are some who said they had the window leak with no crack visible. I'm hoping third brake light. Thank you for the reply.

Looks Like I've Got The Dreaded Leak Also!

Thank you for the reply. Water intrusion is enough for me to ditch any vehicle if it can't be mitigated... especially a vehicle as expensive as these trucks. I will go through the process with the dealership. I will water test it to death afterwards. If it still leaks after the dealer fix I...

Looks Like I've Got The Dreaded Leak Also!

I was hoping, wishing, and performing sacred rituals in hopes that my 2020 didn't leak in the window area..... alas, I'm now a victim of it also. To say I'm "not happy" is an understatement at best. Looks like I'm about to walk down that long trail of jacking with a dealer to get this...

    Piston Slap

Let us know what you find out!

    Piston Slap

I definitely hear it. It does sound like piston slap to me (I had it in a GM 5.3). Tell us, how many miles are on your truck? If still under warranty, this is something I would show to a dealership tech and at the very least get it documented. Good luck and keep us informed as to what you do!

2020 Rebel - Stock Rear Shocks - Missing Remote Res!!!???

Strange. My November of 2019 build has them. What would be considered a "late build"? I've never really known at what point they stop manufacturing a model year and begin on the next.

    285 or 295?

Thank you for adding your experience! It may be that the spacers caused the rubbing as pushing the tire outward sometime causes rubbing. Others have posted about the same experience with spacers.

    Electrical "whine"

Thank you for your response. I will try it and see. However it sounds exactly like the old alternator whine. It just may be the ANC module so I'll give it a whirl.

    Electrical "whine"

My truck has developed a very faint, almost inaudible electrical "whine". You can only hear it at low speeds and it changes pitch with RPM's. It sounds like the whine we would get through the radio speakers from older cars when an alternator was going out. Like I said, it is faint... but it's...

Rebel vs all other Trim Ram 1500's -A/M Bumper fittment

You and I BOTH! I'm about to say the heck with it and just put one on that's made for a Long Horn or Laramie.... I will deal with the "gap" below the grill at a later date. Had about enough of the aftermarket folks.

    285 or 295?

Just to follow up and close this thread out with an outcome, tires are on. 1. NO rubbing or fitment problems at all. There is still plenty of clearance on all sides even with suspension articulated. 2. OMG what an improvement in ride quality and sound over the Duratracs! 3. Rolling...

    285 or 295?

Most people on here won't like my answer. Let me preface it by saying that I spent most of the adult life of my 54 years running Mud Terrains and aggressive AT's on my Jeeps, trucks and Tahoes... but, alas.... I've reached that point where I want quiet when I drive. (actually I think I reached...
