Pardon - the seller just confirmed there are no sensors. I don't know why the shop is telling me they have sensors (they're obviously guessing). I'll get some installed.
Please help - I just installed the factory 22's purchased from this forum (thanks) and my TPMS light is on. I've driven the truck a few hundred miles and it has not reset. Now it's at my local tire dealer and they confirmed it has the sensors but can't reset the system. Does anyone have any...
The OP says "8-11" mpg. I interpret this as getting as low as 8 and as high as 11. If true, this means I could jump in that truck, reset the avg mpg and drive down the street at 40mph and get between 8-11 after 10 min. If true, something is wrong with the truck (it's not a break-in issue...
Haste will always work against us in such negotiations. I tried to suggest the same point: Leave it at the dealer, arrange for alternate transportation, and keep putting the ball back in the service manager's court. You'll eventually end up with a properly fixed truck, or a new one. If you...
I feel like you're best to follow your instinct not to pick up the truck until all issues are fixed. If I were in your shoes, I'd arrange for alternate transportation to cover you for the near future and keep that lined up even after the dealer calls and tells you the truck is ready. When you...
Hey W13NY: I've got a set of Limited Wheels & Falken A/T tires going up on Craigslist this weekend. I'm in Somerset, NJ and they will include TPMS. Let me know if you're interested. The tires/wheels have less than 2,500 miles on them.
I appreciate your honesty. It's really not that bad. I wonder if it will eventually be "upgradeable" - If you could just double the power and battery capacity, it would really be great.
I have posted this already but Laura offered (in writing via email) the best price of any dealer I searched (and I searched over 200). There are no tricks AND Cory will deal with you via email - this is rare.

The lids on mine don't seem to sit flush in some areas, like maybe the lid is warped slightly. I'm going to have the dealer look at it next time I'm in there for service
I tried to install my MX4 over the weekend and there is no way I can get those rails to slide on. I used silicone lube, extra hands, light hammer, etc. I either have the wrong rails or am incompetent (and don't like either answer).
Here's another way to examine:
National AVG price of fuel = $2.58
Warranty is 80,000 miles
eTorque costs $1,250
You would need an improvement of 18 mpg over 16 mpg to make $1,433 before warranty runs out
This does not account for the residual value of the system at 80k, which SHOULD be 30% or so...
Have you seen the data on the "MPG thread" on this forum? eTorque is extremely cool, but an equally bad investment. It appears to me that the battery, HP, & regen should all double - AND - the cost should be cut in half = Then we will have a fair investment.
I'll bet you this is what we see...
