Wanted to give everyone here an update. I have cleaned my throttle body + reset procedure a total of 3 times, each time it buys me about 2-3 days where the "Shift to P" error will not happen. So my next logical step is to replace the throttle body. I've ordered that part and it should be here...
Thanks! I'll give it a shot. I just cleaned the throttle body again last night, checked all fuses, and added some Techron to my gas tank as per another recommendation.
It does throw a check engine light after that message pops up, which will stay there for about 3 days then clears. I'm not sure if it throws a code or not, I don't have a reader unfortunately.
I have a 2019 Ram Big Horn V8, and have seen this error code a total of 3 times now. When it occurs, the truck starts to hesitate and be very sluggish, and rattles a bit. I am unable to get up to speed. The dash says "Service Electronic Throttle Control". After stopping the vehicle and...
Sorry to revive an old thread- but this issue is still ongoing for me. Cleaning the throttle body makes my truck run GREAT for a day, but the issue quickly returns. Since February 6th, I have cleaned the throttle body a total of 5 times. I remove the hose coming from the air filter, clean the...

I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn V8. Bought new back in 2019, and stupidly enough never tested to make sure the 4WD works before buying. It wasn't until 2023 (we had a spell of snow-less winters where I live) when I tried it and realized that it wouldn't actually lock in. I stop the truck, put it...
Rented a house in the mountains with a steep dirt driveway (requires 4WD) only to learn on arrival that it won't switch to 4 high, low, or auto. Just flashes like it's trying but never actually goes. I can feel the transmission kick like it actually went to 4WD but the light constantly blinks...
Just wanted to give everyone an update from my end - the issue is STILL happening. Took it to the dealership a total of 2 times for this issue alone and they didn't do jack. Always "we couldn't recreate your issue". This happened twice yesterday just coming home from work. Straight highway...
Any chance it would fit? I found a great deal on a diamondback bed cover, but it is for a 2016 Ram with the 5' 7" bed. I have a 2019 but it's the newer body style. Has anyone else had any luck or should I continue my search?
