Mine doesn't sound like grinding or like a wheel bearing or something it sounds more like a grunting sound and it only does it randomly and when it happens it maybe lasts a second or two. I never lose the power steering like some have said above. So far is just irritating.
When the upgrade happened on my truck the phone port where I had always connected to Carplay displayed the symptoms you are describing. When i moved it from the port behind the console to the upper dash port it worked fine. My guess is if it still doesn't work that the upgrade hosed up the...
I agree with almost everything you stated as I am also an electrical engineer since 1980. Mostly where we disagree is in how to rectify the existing power systems and increase production, generation and distribution and do all of this as safely as possible. Honestly there have been huge...
Actually its not so much any more the chicken egg issue. This country has stabilized CO2 emissions as the table shows since our high in 2003/2004. While we regulate the hell out of cars & trucks they are not the sole producers of CO2. For instance our high and mighty politicians fly on private...
To me electric vehicles are a joke because we don't have the power generation plants to support a complete conversion to electric powered vehicles. Our ignorant federal government is eliminating coal & natural gas fired power plants, nuclear energy is dead so what are we going to do for more...
You just made me chuckle imagining 3 car seats in the back of my truck. I am so glad thats a distant memory for me. So fair is fair. I had a 2009 Challenger R/T with a car seat in the back! I bet there are some good laughs here from others who had car seats in cars that no one expected to see...
If there is no condensation leaking into your vehicle today there is really no reason to think that a cleaner would cause it to happen. I would say that its possible that spraying the cleaner down the cowl would get it to the coil but you would need to confirm that by checking whats coming out...
The problem is that the seats need to flip up to fully access the bins so your car seat issue will still be an issue with the Du-Ha solution. I guess you need to wait until the kids don't need the seats anymore 😁
Ok lets do a little history here. AC has been around for a long time. Even though it has been refined over the years it still basically works the same.
The issue of drainage of the condensation is not rocket science so I am not sure why this truck seems to have so many complaints if the fluid is...
It should not be a problem once you are inside the truck so if it is take it in and have it looked at. I liked the way the challenger push button worked. You could pop the button out and use the fob as an actual key in the event there was an issue with sensing.
Posted this for additional info for all. The long & short of it is that once you find which port Carplay works from you assume that a software update wont change that. Don't make that assumption because thats exactly what happened in the most recent update.
Another thing I tried was to use...
Park it in a big city and leave the key on the console!
Did you buy that thing new?
It sounds like a hurricane special that was underwater for a couple weeks.
I have never seen quite the list you have on a couple year old truck.
Just an FYI on perception not being reality. Toyota has had more recalls than any company in North America. One of every 7 cars sold is a Toyota and one of every 4 recalls is a Toyota. Not knocking Toyota, just saying that sometimes perception isn't always fair in the marketplace.
