Why don’t you want power running boards? Just curious.
Another option you may want to consider is the Multi Fuction Tailgate (MFT). If you go in and out of the bed of the truck a lot it’s super convenient.
Before I bought my current Ram I seriously considered a Titan, I like the exterior look of them. The interior of them, from a comfort stand point and options/features could not touch the Ram.
You’re seeing a 10k difference point price difference between a Longhorn and a 4x Pro because you’re...
If your current truck has no issues, I would personally wait for the 2022 to see if Uconnect 5 is coming out.
While the MFT is awesome and I love having it, I’m not sure there’s enough difference between the ‘19 and the ‘21 to justify the upgrade unless you’re in a financial position where the...
The technology package is the only reason I’d ever consider trading in my 2020. The HUD would be nice to have. Without the package, why bother trading in?
It’s been a complaint about the big horns since the DT model came out that you can’t order passive entry on them. It’s dumb but part of them trying to get you buy a higher trim level I guess.
Unlike a lot of people in this thread I find there is a fairly big difference between the air and coil suspension.
I had coil in my sport and while the ride was very good, the air ride is something else. The ram with air ride is better than many luxury vehicles I’ve ridden in for ride quality.
Very cool idea. Are you planning on upgrading the interior to match/exceed the Rebel as well?
Also, rather minor but if you built out a Rebel to 44k, no one (I hope) is paying that for it. The cost of the Rebel would probably be more like 41-42k (or even less) after some negotiation and discounts.
But would you still get the Powerwagon if you already own a 2020 Rebel and intend to mostly use it as a daily driver? Cause that was the original question.
From what you describe, it sounds like the rebel will fit your needs better. That said, the PW is a nice truck, take one for a test drive before you make the plunge.
Many people think “it’s a truck so it can haul anything”. And to be fair, they can - until something breaks.
A lot of the new features on the trucks these days are HEAVY. They eat into payload like crazy. I have a limited with just about every option, and the truck is awesome and I love it -...
My truck (which I purchased off the lot) actually had this issue.
First time I went in and looked at the truck, it was fine. We couldn’t come to an agreement on the sale price and I walked.
A couple weeks later the salesperson called me back (end of the month - February ) with a better offer and...
I felt the same way till I got a truck that has the MFT.
I’m not saying I wouldn’t buy a truck that didn’t have it in the future, but if everything else is more or less equal and the main difference came down to a truck with the MFT or one without, I would get the truck with the MFT 10 times...
I too am intrigued by the 2021 F-150s, but it would be tough to give up the MFT and the Ramboxes. The MFT was something I didn’t know if I’d like when I got my ‘20 limited but it’s so convenient. I hardly open my tailgate traditionally these days because barn door style makes life so much...
I know people are wary of the air suspension and there’s probably some truth to it but I had it on my ‘16 longhorn and now have it on my ‘20 limited and have so far had zero issues with it. I live in Alberta and it can get pretty damn cold in the winter. The ride quality is like being in a...
I had this exact issue with my MFT. I had to really slam my barn doors shut or the truck would register them as open. After about 3-4 weeks the issue went away. And I can close the doors with a more normal amount of force and no issues. I’ve had the truck about 8 months now.
There’s nothing wrong with the 4th Gen trucks but obviously Ram upped the game with the 5th Gens.
If the warlock has everything you want and you’re saving 7-10k on it, I’d say it’s a no brainer to go with the warlock. If the warlock is missing features you’d like to have in the Bighorn, then I...
I have the patriot blue and I’m very happy with it. I’ve never felt it was “too candy blue” in certain light and it’s the first time I’ve actually heard it described as such, but to each their own.
I’m not familiar with the southwest package. Does it include the dual sunroof, MFT and e-torque? My truck has all 3 and I know it cuts into the pay load having them.
