I noticed recently that if you engage the parking brake when the engine is stopped via the auto start/stop system, the engine remains stopped. You can then remove your foot from the brake pedal. This is nice for when you'll be standing for a bit, but want the advantages of the start/stop...
Leaving 4WD Auto on has a slight negative effect on fuel economy. Other than that, it doesn't really matter. I usually keep it in 2WD unless there's snow & ice on the road.
I use the ProClip mount linked below with a cable run behind the radio to the USB port.

Lol everyone getting their shorts in a bunch. I'm guessing is something like the USB dongle people are using to mimic CarPlay.
Edit: that's exactly what it is: https://www.joyeauto.com/mmb-multimedia-video-smart-ai-box-add-android-system-for-the-cars-with-oem-factory-apple-carplay/
I plan on keeping my truck for at least 10 years. Depreciation wasn’t a factor in my buying decision.
I will say that when I sold my 2009 G8 a few months ago, I got just under 50% of the purchase price. The G8 is a rare but desirable car right now on the used market. I don’t expect my Ram to be...
Great writeup, @JustCallMeD. I think I would like to do something similar, and I have a few questions.
So that I understand correctly, is the following an accurate representation of your system? I assume the PAC harness connects between the factory headunit and amplifer, and strips the...
Glad to help. I’m an engineer too, by the way. I’ve noticed that those who share such opinions don’t realize that engineering decisions rarely are black and white. There are multiple factors that go into any engineering decision, e.g. economical, ethical, ease of service, scope, etc., and the...
I made a spreadsheet that calculates vehicle speed for a given RPM vs. gear. These calcs use the stock tire size on a 20" wheel, and add 3% to the wheel speed for loading (per tiresize.com). I used these charts to help in my decision for gearing. Since I do a lot of highway cruising, I was...
I ordered my Limited with the 20" wheels. There are a few reasons:
Comfort. I drive a lot for work, up to 8 hours a day. The extra sidewall is going to contribute to a slightly softer ride, even with the air suspension.
Fuel economy. While economy certainly wasn't my highest priority, I get...
Forum search functions are just always so useless. I typically add "site:5thgenrams.com" to my google query to get more accurate results from a single website.
Here's the manual section on USB mode:

Here's some info on formats from a Renegade forum...
With gas heat and appliances, 7.3kW will be plenty for that size house. Just don't try running the A/C!
Also, @Jus Cruisin, I would double check to make sure that the F150 generator is a "true sine wave" inverter before plugging any sensitive electronics in (laptops, TVs, etc.).
Lol where do you even stand? I can’t tell if you’re pro- or anti- environmentalism. Or is this just an impulsive “gotcha” response? You can’t talk about utility scale power generation without talking about the economies of scale, increased decommissioning of legacy fossil plants, or rise of...
