I get the same 10L/100km avg in my 5.7 as I did with the ED on the same stretch of highway (not including the city parts).
When combining city and highway they were both around 13.
Oil changes in the ED were every 8,000-10,000 because of the mix city/highway.
I had the diesel in my 2015 Laramie and had my share of problems so stayed away from the ED again for the time being.
Compared to the 5.7 it replaced and the 5.7 that replaced it, gas mileage difference was barely noticeable. Never got close to the advertised mileage in the diesel (not...
Well it was a bust. Removed them and no spacers/washers on the bottoms and the latches were already down all the way. Grrrr!
Guess I’ll have to let their body shop have a look at it and then request new lids if they can’t fix it (which of course they won’t).
Has anyone had their lids...
I'm on my 3rd RAM now with air suspension, I live in Canada and it's always down into the -30C in the winters and I have had ZERO issues with it - so it's not a cold thing. Maybe I've been lucky? Maybe people with issues had other problems and it was doomed the day they drove it off the lot...
Hmmm haven’t had my coffee yet so trying to picture that in my head. You mean before I even remove anything, look to see if it’s flush where the box meets the fender while standing in front of it with the lid open?
Ah good tip - thanks! Is it possible to tell if it's tight across the bottom without removing the box completely? If it is, I guess no point pulling it all the way out... just up enough to adjust the latch a bit.
You could leave out that last word :)
If I drop it in for something requiring a road test, sure. If it's something that doesn't require the truck to leave the parking lot then they shouldn't be moving my seats/mirrors.
I wish the Rebel had memory seats (among a few other things) but this will have to do! No pic needed - but thanks! I'll have a look when I get home today. I have both front seats in the perfect position (I'm OCD about that stuff) so I like to prevent friends from moving them :)
I wish mine had all 4 accessible! Mine is a later build but still has half and half. I need to remove my boxes anyways to inspect those spacers (washers) on the bottom to try and sink the box down more.
I wonder if all 4 bolts are needed anyways? I would think just the 2 you can reach from...
Oh! Guess that's why I couldn't find the fuse. So if I remove that, it will prevent anyone from moving my seat when I drop it off for service? :)
Thanks!
Made some adjustments to mine last night using those bumpers and it sure looks better now in terms of sitting flush with the side of the box. Now I just need to fix the height of them. Weekend job!
Brought my replacement truck to the dealer yesterday for the poor A/C performance... service manager sat in my truck for about 5 mins or so. Had it on low, only the 2 upper driver vents open, fan set to level 4-5, recirc on - if you hold your hand an inch from the vent it feels cool... but...
That's what mine looks like. I'll try fixing it myself before letting the body shop have a go. They have replaced boxes before and same results so they won't replace them again.
