Hmmm I must not be doing something right... but was kinda hard to get a wrench in there from how I was positioned. Seemed to be around a 18mm nut and when I tried turning it, it felt mega tight. I was only using the one wrench though.
Yes and no. Think of it as being in the middle (like a bridge) and tricking CarPlay into thinking those additional apps also support CarPlay. It doesn't actually change anything with CarPlay itself.
No problem! Once all that is done you just need to use either Cydia (if you used unc0ver to jb it) or Sileo (if you used chimera) to find and install/purchase CarBridge. Cydia and Sileo work similar to an app store. Once CarBridge is installed, just go into the main iPhone settings app...
Yes I have the 12" screen. It will only use half the screen though while watching videos - the same as any other CarPlay app. Maybe once iOS 13 comes out and supports more irregular screen sizes we will have access to the full thing but until then, this is all we have.
First thing you need...
Nice - thanks for the info! Will do that when I get home today. Would gladly spend a few mins fixing it myself like you said... hate going to the dealer for stuff since it's hours vs minutes then.
What size is the nut - do you remember?
I used an older iPhone I had laying around, jailbroke it (free), and bought CarBridge for $5. Now I can use ANY app on the screen (Netflix, Youtube, etc) so passengers can watch videos or I can when parked somewhere and waiting. It connects to my wifi hotspot from my main cell when I am in the...
Had a search around and clunking seems to be a common problem but for turning.
Mine is clunking from the front passenger corner while going over speed bumps. If I hit one on the driver side only, no clunk. Can repeat every time from the passenger side though. Anyone have similar issue...
Nice!! Thanks for posting! Notice much difference after installing them?
Was debating ordering red ones for down there so that it's a little less distracting when driving
They really need to start from scratch with their packages. No one is going to buy the top package just to get the remote start/lock/unlock features... especially when it takes minutes to work.
I might consider $10-12/m for using the remote start over the winter months (since I park far from...
I never even came close to 35mpg with my '15 ED Laramie. It was close to what my previous 5.7 got on the highway. Then when FCA said their "fix" for the issues was to change the oil type I jumped ship as quickly as I could. My ED didn't like the cold either. Another "fix" from FCA at the...
I pulled on them lightly but didn't want to break anything... figured I would ask first in case someone has removed them before :) Can't really see the other side of them to see what's holding them in place.
The vanity mirror lights that came with the kit are wayyyyy too bright haha... so much...
How the heck do the stock footwell LED lights come out? Managed to get the others changed (except there is no under hood light so not sure why they included one in the kit?) and there is no dome light in my CC that has the large bulb.
Technically you can keep it in the highest setting (or any setting) for as long as you like at any speed, just set it there and pull the fuse. It isn’t recommended (alignment) but it will work.
