I'm thinking about buying the APS iboards for my Ram and was looking at the steel brackets hanging two inches below the things and start wondering...
Have and of you off roaders ever get stuck from you running boards, or have them bottom out or get damaged? Or fold up and damage the truck?
Is...
I'm looking for suggestions on a camper shell (what they used to be called) with solid side and back doors that open. I don't need a commercial model, but even each vendors consumer grade products are ridiculously expensive. To add solid doors in place of windows is like $350 a door.
Does any...
I followed the advice here and got the rather pricey proclip, and then had to wait two weeks to get the thing. The wait and the money was totally worth it. It's an awesome set up.
Can someone that has the Westin protrax wheel to wheel boards on 5thgen please post some pics and maybe a review?
I'd like to get'em but I just don't know.
I've got the ram factory brake controller, assuming that was the original question, and one can increase and decrease the bias on the brakes by pushing the buttons below the manual brake control paddles.
The bias change is displayed on the instrument cluster, and I've got mine set to 10%+
I took my Ram to the dealer yesterday for the recall and mentioned the brake thing (for me backing up). When the tech called he went over all the tests they ran, and when I said that it would go off at random he said "Oh, they all do that - that's normal"!
I hope someone figures this out because I don't have a clue.
So there I was, finally made it to the campground at 1am, but couldn't find our site so parked the whole rig in the overflow lot. Didn't want to deal with the all beds in the camper, so the fam took what was open, and I'd bunk down in...
Latest update - I paid $10 to look up my vin in the federal database and all looked good. Also I called FCA and they said the recalls came out after the truck was purchased so that sorta blows the sold-truck-with-open-recalls theory. Fca also called the dealer on my behalf enquiring about the...
Before buying I noticed quite a difference in ride between similar models. Best ride was on a big horn long bed with 18" wheels and coil springs. My Laramie with air and 20s is pretty stiff, but softens considerably with more payload. I just got back from a 1300 mile road trip pulling a 3 ton...
I played dumb agreeing to nothing, and once I had internet access posted the question here. It's been quite a help actually hearing what everyone has to say. I'm tempted to ask them to submit their request to me in writing...
Yes, all the vins match. The completed registration card from the DMV, receipt from dealer, financing agreement, monroni sticker, and vin plaque on the drivers side dash board.
This whole "verify the vin" thing seems like a ruse, but for what I don't know.
First, thanks to everyone who had replied. It's great to have some support when the dealers start playing their games.
I talked to the dealer today and heard the same spiel, they can only verify the vin at their dealership, yada yada, but they did ask about what recalls I had done, so the...
I've been on a camping trip in the az desert. The truck did awesome by the way. Anyway I'll contact the dealer again shortly and will post an update, after I first check my VIN!
