About 20 years ago, I ran a set of "green" calculations against my 2500 Yukon XL with the 8,6 liter engine. If I had a second car to use when I did not need the "big" rig, my carbon footprint was actually higher than using the Yukon for groceries.
I have usually had two vehicles, a truck and a...
While my Rebel is my daily driver (grocery getter is as good a term as any), I do on occasion have need for a truck. Also need something with either AWD or 4WD for the winter.
Sure, the Rebel is really in the off-road class, doubt it will see anything tougher than an 1/8 mile of rutted gravel...
A quick look shows you have 12K trailer capacity. Big footnotes to review, but a good base number.
Assuming class IV hitch, 11K limit for a bumper pull with 10% on the tongue (1,100 pounds max for that class).
A 20' trailer at 4K weight really should not need anything else. If there is a bit...
Consider a stock rim with a stock tire size.
Draw an imaginary line through the ball joints to the ground. This is somewhere in the contact patch of the tire on the ground.
If you make the rim wider or narrower, then the offset needs to change to keep the same relative point of contact with...
I buy the blue with some anti-freeze properties, not the yellow super-low temperature stuff. East Tennessee does not get cold enough for the yellow. Whatever it is at AutoZone...
I now run this blue year-round in all my vehicles. once had a reservoir freeze and crack on me when the cold hit too...
I'm a bit of a torque junky, and this is a huge deal to me.
From the specs and the OPs intended use, 3.21 looks fine. I drove both and chose a Rebel for the 3.92 gearing, and like that I have to be a bit more careful with the throttle in the rain. 3.92 will also cost a bit in MPG, I chose for...
One of the reasons I bought a Rebel is the 3.92 gearing. I would trust putting it on a lift and counting driveshaft vs wheel turns compared to trusting one of two pieces of paper which disagree.
Have not gone in for it yet, have this and one other thing to go to the dealer for.
Will follow along and take my time before going in to see if other's develop your problem or if you have some coincidental failure. Even if coincidental, sounds like a serious matter to be aware of.
Off topic, was just trying to sound out your screen name... Chenotu? Took a minute to see nitromethane! Nitro for short. Good to make your acquaintance.
Moved decades ago. Near Lodi and there was a small "airport" which offered glider flights. Every few weekends in the summer, it became a drag strip. Kingdon airstrip back then.
I remember it closed decades ago, at least the racing went away. Insurance/liability concerns were among the reasons...
Was popular in the Calif
Central Valley in California, and bracket racing was popular at the time. And in a certain class...
A Dodge Dart with slant six, 4 barrel carb and intake manifold, LT headers, and an appropriate cam was very competitive. I did not run one, but had friends who did and...
Was going to do a soft reset/reboot of my UConnect system before driving today, but checked the Off Road pages and they had healed whatever software disfunction came with the last update. For once, doing nothing was a good thing.
So just drove to the hardware store for a couple items I needed...
