Yep, the 2019 manual is different. On page 473 of the 2022 manual in the Fluids and Lubricants section it says:
"We recommend using Mopar® SAE 0W-20 Full Synthetic Engine Oil which meets the requirements of the manufacturer Material Standard MS-6395."
I wonder if there are any mechanical...
Interesting because on page 409 of the owner's manual it says specifically:
"Your engine was designed for synthetic engine oils, only use synthetic API approved engine oils."
I agree. I can't stand the soundstage setup. I prefer the sound coming equally from all around me. Once I replaced the rear speakers with the Infinity Refs it got rid of the soundstage and made the sound truly Immersive. The sound in the back seating area is incredible now. Really balances...
True, but the best sunshade is the one I'll actually use. In the past I've had the big fold up foil ones and I almost never used them because they were stored somewhere in the back.
I just went with a two-piece cloth and wire type that folds up in a circle. I wanted something that is compact when stored and those bulky fold up ones were just too big. $19 at Autozone. They fit in that little pocket next to the driver's right knee on the center console.
But is it really? I mean, it kind of makes sense....but is it really happening? What's the resale on gas? Is there a market for stolen gas? I'm sure there are examples of it going on, but it doesn't seem to be widespread.
I agree, but that's not evidence either. Anyone can write dates in a logbook. Has anyone had powertrain warranty work denied due to a lack of oil change evidence? I don't think that is a requirement. It's a good idea, but I think the burden of proof would be on the dealership that the...
Yes, but it's not the same as turning off the ECO mode. It just tricks the system. There is no on/off Eco button like in some vehicles. The gear limiter just ensures that the engine never enters higher gears, thus keeping RPMs higher so the engine never shuts down the cylinders. To the OPs...
Is this really an issue? Has anyone here ever had their gas stolen or their gas contaminated? Seems like a solution to something that almost never happens.
Correct, but that is not the same as turning it on or off. My old BMW actually had Sport/Normal/Eco modes that you could manually select with a button. That is not an option on Ram. Using the gear selector is a trick to keep it from entering higher gears. And even when the engine shuts down...
I don't think Eco mode is something you can turn on and off like that. The truck does it all by itself. It shouldn't have any impact on the engine. The engine is doing what it's designed to do automatically.
The user is the most important part. I drive like a little old lady. Even when I had a BMW M3, I still drove it like it was made of glass. I try to keep the Eco light on as much as possible. Very rarely put the hammer down.
