I gotta be honest… in just over a year of owning mine (Aug 2023) I’ve probably lowered the tailgate either by the button overhead or the key fob less than a handful of times.
I am, however, getting better at using the MFT, opening it up L&R instead of just lowering the whole tailgate.
Over 18...
Sorry to jump your thread OP, but is this an option on older Gen 5 trucks, power up?
My 23 Limited has MFT and tailgate down…but pressing twice, holding on second press just activates the unlock feature…
Didn’t know power up was an option.
I have to be honest… as the OP here nearly a year ago to the date.
I don’t know if a software update on the radio or my phone fixed it…but I haven’t had this particular issues in a long time.
My phone wouldn’t let car play work at all the other day, ending up resetting the factory radio (soft...
Gotta say…you made good points. Part personal opinion, part functionality..
Appreciate your perspective.
My opinion… compared to yours. You view them as a toolbox on a luxury truck.
I view them as external storage…that I don’t have to open my tailgate for or worry about if it’s been rolling...
I have a different take… I wish the 6’4” was available with Ram Boxes, I would’ve ordered one, had them on my 15 limited with the longer bed.
I’m curious, with a 5/7 bed, you’re already putting the tailgate down for 6 foot tables, 2x4s, etc.
Have you any first hand experience with the ram...
Biggest issue I had with my 2015 Limited with 4 corner was the air ride…it was in the shop 4-5 times over an 8 year span I owned it. Cold weather always brought out the gremlins.
I’ve only had my 23 for a little over a year, just turned 18K miles, and I’m hoping the newer gen doesn’t have the...
Sorry for your luck, truly. On my 4th RAM since 2006. Had a few issues.. most of them covered under warranty.
I have to be honest, while I believe you that you paid to have a rack and pinion replaced at 1K miles.. and I didn’t sit in your shoes waiting, fighting, etc., that alone would’ve...
Try vinegar.
Seriously.
I went with a filtration car wash system for my home due to hard water…but, sprinklers, rain, etc.,
Vinegar…
My truck is PPF on front and 100% ceramic coated however.
OP, to be clear. You can get the best protection on your paint there is, it will not protect you from...
Yep, looking to see what they say.
Mine, in being very honest…isn’t really noticeable unless it’s slow speed and the radio is barely up.
Is that an excuse? No.
Hasn’t gotten worse, and if I literally have my radio on like volume 4 or more, you won’t hear it or notice it.
I haven’t tried to...
Yeah, I’m not 100% positive. I only know this because when I was shopping for my wife’s GC last year, we found two we liked.
Identical in every way… line by line, package by package.
But the one she went with was the color she wanted, midnight blue. The identical black GC was built 3-4 months...
I think…and someone can correct me…. The build date is on the sticker near the bottom directly under where it says S.L.
I believe that’s MM/DD
I could be wrong.
Never saw this in 140K plus miles on my 2015. On the driver seat side, where you slide in, slide out…there was a little wear and a little lighter gray lines from all the flexing.
Approaching 18K on my 23 Limited and my seats still look like new.
It surely can’t hurt to give them a good clean...
Yep… I may be there with you JayC. It’s not often, but annoying and…for a little more than a year old truck still under factory bumper to bumper…time to take it in…
