Haven’t installed the kit yet, but there is about a 4.5” difference in length between the oem 2wd rear spring and the 4” drop spring of the max trac kit. Oem is just over 19” and the maxtrac is just under 15”
Awesome! I appreciate it, didn’t even think about the length difference from the drop. I may need to get those. My travel trailer is 6500lbs dry, but I also have a good wdh set up so those 1k bags will probably be sufficient. By the way, have you got your drop kit installed yet?
So a bit of information, according to airlift the only kit available made to fit our new body style rams, at least the 2wd is the 60828HD (1000HD). Which is a 2100pnd capacity. I’ll be going with that one, plenty of capability for my use. In conjunction with a hellwig rear sway bar, pedal...
2nd person that has had bottoming out issues, both of you are 4x4. I wonder if my 2wd will have that issue cuz I feel like I have more factory rake. I’m getting helper bags regardless, so it doesn’t bother me...more just curious.
Well in all honesty, I didn’t trim my factory plastic bed rail trim, and I just got it as straight and as evenly tight as I could. Same for the front. It’s on their straight, tight and no issues thus far. No noises like it’s not secure, and I’m almost 100% positive my bedrail isn’t bending. I...
maxtracstore.com (accessorypartners) I have it, just not installed yet. $430, the front is adjustable by every 1/2” I believe 0-3”. I can’t wait to install it. A guy on here already installed his 2/4 drop on his 4x4 crew cab. Look for the belltech 2/4 drop thread in suspension. He posted pics...
Installed my iboard steps today. 4”. I think it’s perfect. Not super big, but enough of a step for my wife and kids to use. 2/4 maxtrac drop kit arrived, just got to install it.
Looks sick! I can’t wait to get my kit and install it. I’ll also be installing helper bags in early spring. I’m hoping to be that close to level with my 2wd crew cab.
Alright ladies and gents, time for another opinion based thread. I just ordered my 2/4 drop kit, can’t wait to get it installed, and will also get some helper bags in the early spring when I go to start towing my TT again. My next big modification will be, in my mind, the perfect combo of...
There’s a company that makes vinyl layovers for the RAM on the grille. I put black on my black truck. Might be worth looking into. No issues thus far with quality and durability. Easy installation and pretty cheap.
you have to go to maxtracstore.com (accessory partners or whatever it’s called). Maxtrac actual website isn’t updated, they’ve posted it on Instagram. I’m about to get my 2/4 drop within the next month.
I actually just emailed them asking about the adjustability on the front strut. Trying to get my truck to sit as level as possible without a load and without having to trim a little rear coil. I’m wondering if anyone is running the 2/4 drop on the factory 22s. Id love to see some pictures if so...
