Another thing etorque does (again quoting from the article):
"During deceleration, fuel flow to the engine is shut off more aggressively and for longer periods than it normally is on a 12V system because the BSG has enough torque to assist in turning the the engine during transients when the...
Not often talked about is etorque works to keep the truck in cylinder deactivation longer. Quoting from a forbes article:
"since most roads aren’t completely level, the engine often ends up cycling back and forth between four and eight cylinder modes. With the mild hybrid system, the BSG can...
Interesting our trucks are virtually identical except yours has the trifold and the 33 gallon tank and there is 250 pounds of difference between our payloads. Mine is 1310.
I figure if I ever need more, I can remove the skid plates. There was a post on here that siad they weigh 165 pounds.
Got it all.....hemi, etorque, ORP, sunroof, air ride, etc. Payload capacity is just over 1300 pounds. not great but workable for towing less than 7K or 8K.
If you purchase the warranty on the day you buy the truck , or some later date, the warranty starts on the date of purchase.
IMHO, if you are going to purchase the extended warranty, purchase it early to at least get the rental car and trip interruption protection during the warranty period.
IMHO, TFL Trucks does a good job and a service to our community.
Informed consumers just need to take the tests/data for want it is. I believe it is very informative to see how different truck perform on the same 98 mile run. I think viewing the data, in a comparative fashion between trucks...
One Dealer kept telling us this. Saying a fully decked out Laramie Longhorn is a higher trim level than a Limited. From my perspective they both end up the same (except color of interior). when a Longhorn is fully decked out.
Just went on about a 320 mile trip thru rolling hills and suburbs. Probable 20 or so stoplights. Set ACC on about 58. Got 19 MPG.
This week, on my way back and forth to work (all city). I am at 14.7MPG.
Truck has 2000 miles on it. This is a noticeable MPG improvement from when new.
Hoping...
Big Thumbs Up for ASG!
Surround view camer and ACC are worth the price. As far as me, I like the Lane Assist and other features. Some folks find it annoying.
I have it and love it!
However, I was able to gett a lifetime warrnty. With FCA no longer offering a lifetime warranty, I would more closely look at doing without it.
Also, We have had extreme cold lately and air suspension performed flawlessly. So no colld weather issues here.
TFL Trucks just posted an interesting video on "real world" towing mileage. Truck is a 2019 Rebel, Hemi, etorque, 3.92.

Impressive, 11MPG towing thru some pretty tuff conditions (Mountains, snow/ice requiring 4 wheel drive, etc..)...
