This.
I used to work at Aisin which at the time made the door frames for various vehicles. Even back then, though the frame was exactly the same, the material they used, the oil they used was actually different. It might be the same guts, but they did have some distict differences and that was...
Got my truck back. Hopefully I can get a chance to fix this issue.
I want to say that the repair on my truck helped a bit. I had the clunk and sure enough the sway bar end links needed torqued.
2 days for 2 min job. Oh well
Least she’s back!
Thanks.
Sadly, I won't have my truck for a couple days but will give it a go when I get her back. I want to say when I was under there, it looked nothing like that. I didn't see any single through bolts. Then again, I was looking as if the canister was part of the powersteps and didn't see it...
Ah, Thanks so much man.
I want to say mine does not look anything like that. This is on the drivers side right? Right under the door? Which steps do you have?
Yeah.
I'm an IT guy, not a master mechanic. Some of the terminology throws me for a loop. I know my way around a tool and can do the adjustments needed. Just, I'm not sure what the heck anything is that I'm looking at. The diagram that I got with the steps have totally different names than what...
2600 miles out of mine. At about 1000 miles, I started to get some clunking or popping noise from the sounds of the A/C pillars area or the frame. Not 100% sure if it's the sway bars or the A pillar mounts.
There is a TSB that went out on how to repair problems. Dropped off the vehicle this...
Guys, when they fold, all of them clunk, but they do NOT hit the windows. Roll down your windows and test and you will most likely hear the thud as well. It is just the 'thud' they make when they reach full retract. Fun fact, you can also push the mirrors outward and they still make that thud...
Thanks for the reply.
Do you know what size tools I need? I have none on me right now so will need to pick some up
Does the truck still make a loud retract? A lot louder than the mopar ones straight from factory?
Who here has the AMP Powersteps?
I just got mine installed and I'm not overly fond of them. Sure, they work great, but what I noticed is that they seem to close hard where you can really feel it and hear it outside the vehicle.
Also, I noticed slight vibration, like a 'humming' vibration in my...
Same here in regards to the UCONNECT dropping the calls where they can't hear me. INstead of picking up the phone, you can click on uConnect to transfer to phone and back and you're golden. I think it has something to do with the bluetooth.
I can hear them perfectly fine.
I have not...
Are you sure that's actually scratched?
Looks like something a little damp rag can wipe away/out. I literally had my dog in my truck for 3 days all over the vehicle and I'll be honest. I don't cut her nails like I should, no scratches in my truck at all, but I'm in a Laramie.
That's a bummer. I would want to use both features. My wife can type into nav as we're driving, but also use TurnCam when actually turning. You can't have both working?
That sucks.
Why are you using that until the turn 360 cam is fixed? How does it compensate for it. I thought it just disabled the in motion lockout of the Nav.
Most likely meant Camera in motion lockout. Turns it on when about to go through windy roads or turns on busy streets. I do that when I pull in...
Mirrors do not hit....
Roll down your windows and use the autofold, you still will hear the clunk of the mirror regardless if they are up or down. I have a feeling some people are replacing the mirrors despite actually not having an issue with them.
Only issue so far on my truck is the clunk...
Hopefully they don't just make the backup camera work, it should be the side cameras like how Honda and other vehicles do it. Wonder if they can pull that off. I don't; find the front or the back to be very useful. If anything, the front is more useful in my eyes. I have 0 depth perception, so...
So what I have to do is use the lumbar support as if it's in my back, and then I need to use the top/bottom to move it around?
Hmmmmmmm, I will give it a try when I go to lunch today :).
For those familiar with the power seats on the Laramie trim (not sure if it's different between trims) do all the buttons on your seat work?
On my truck, I noticed that the round dial with 4 "dented" adjustment buttons, sorry can't really describe this....but only the left and right work, but...
