Using the great informations in this tread, I successfully updated my 2019 from LR-34.31 to 39.7 and then to 40.1. Took a couple of tries to find an USB that the truck liked, it ended up being an older 4 gig USB. For some reason, I could not get 39.9 to load from 34.31 but 39.7 worked and then...
I had the steering gear replaced under warranty as the truck would “fall” into a turn at highway speed. The fix was the new gear and it solved the issue. There was a thread about this on this site.

A friend who had thousands in repairs to his Chevy after the mice got to his wiring (Chevy uses a plant-based cover on the wiring), now uses a tried and true method from aviation. He parks on four aluminum plates that have a low current running to them. Keeps the rodents from climbing up...
A couple of days ago, I was backing out of the garage my 2019 Laramie stalled. The truck restarted OK and I saw the check engine light was now on. I don’t have a code reader and was not looking forward to a visit to the dealer to have the code read and acted on if needed.
Two days afterward...
My 2019 was in the dealership for an exhaust leak that was found mid pipe, passenger side. Both bolts were broken off and required having them drilled out of the flange. They replaced the gasket and installed new bolts.
My reason for sharing is they shared they have been seeing this same leak...
My 2019 had a set of running boards on it when I bought it that did not survive Michigan winters and were rusting. So, I ran across these RAM boards from Athens Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (on-line) #82215294AC on sale with free shipping. So off with the junk boards after fighting with the rusted...
My smell turned-out to be a head gasket leak. I discovered white stains on the front axle that led me to take the truck back to the dealer for the THIRD time to resolve this issue. The truck was there over three weeks waiting on back-ordered parts. Since the fix, the smell is generally...
At 40,000, the truck has needed more service than I would have expected. So, far:
Steering rack replacement
Both Power mirrors replaced
Coolant leak = head gasket replaced
Front air dam corroded and replaced
All the repairs took longer due to no parts being available. I have several...
New Michelin tires. My OEM tires at 40,000 miles were not going to be on the truck for another winter as they were terrible in the snow.
Saw that Costco had the Michelin Defender on sale (actually their rebranded Michelin which is the Defender). So added a new set for under 900 bucks.
So far...
I am in the same boat, switching out the OEM’s before the snow arrives as I’m not dealing with terrible tires for another Michigan winter.
I decided on Michelin Defenders LTX M/S. Costco currently is offering $150 off a set and installed they are under $900.

My 2019 had the same smell with no cause found by the dealer. I wire tied the loose filler cap without any change.
I then noticed a white stain on the top of the frame on the left side of the engine. The next trip to the dealer discovered a slight leak of a cylinder head gasket. After 4...
Another worry was Vroom requires you to FedEx the vehicle title before the scheduled pickup of the vehicle. For five days, they have your vehicle and the vehicle title while you wait for their check by FedEx to arrive.
Doing the transaction in person certainly is a better plan to lessen the...
Just a word of caution with Vroom. We sold a vehicle to them and it was a month of sending forms, resending forms, waiting on hold and generally having a terrible customer experience. Them purchasing the vehicle is not a quick and painless experience. Waiting on hold is partly due to them NOT...
After running regular, I switched to mid-grade to see if the truck noticed. I am seeing a jump in the projected range and about 50 miles more per tank (23 gallon tank). Averaging city and highway is low 17 mpg. Seems to be worth the extra price in fuel.
