Max towing weight is a fictional number for a perfectly balanced trailer. You’re likely way over payload towing 11k. What’s your payload and what do you have in the truck with you?
I had a similar issue in my ‘21. Turned out to be a loose connection the the amp under the drivers seat. Wasn’t fully clicked with the retainer on the connector. A little push and a restart and problem has not been back for almost 3 weeks.
You’d probably have issues with any sort of thick frame contacting the tailgate when dropped. There’s about an 1/8” or less of clearance with the cheap plastic frames dealers give you and many of those contact the tailgate when dropped and cause paint damage. Best check carefully before using.
Most full sized suvs I’ve seen (Tahoe, suburban, expedition) have higher payloads than the trucks they are based on. This noted the dry rear axle load is higher leaving a lower max tongue weight without overloading the RAWR.
Auto lights turn on the tail lights in the dark. Personally auto lights are ridiculous as there are way too many times it’s not dark enough to turn them on but you should be using them, fog, rain, snow but people are driving around and can’t see you because your tail lights aren’t on.
Did some digging and it was a loose connection on the amp under the drivers seat. Thanks for the suggestion. I had pulled the head unit and checked connections, no issues. Checked the amp and the pigtail was not fully seated and the retainer wasn’t fully engaged. A little push, heard the click...
Rebel EcoDiesel 750 miles or just over 1200km on one 33 (124litre) gallon tank highway. Have gotten as high as 9.2L/100km or 25.6mpg, which would net about 1300km or 820 miles on a tank, but ended the trip before I used a tank.
Here’s my 21 rebel ED, 33’ ball to bumper 7600lb loaded Dutchmen (scaled) ready to go. The only thing other than 4 passengers we have in the truck are the 4 bikes on the rack over the tonneau, bed is empty. Payload 1444lbs. Still had 200lbs left to GVWR on the scale ticket. Has Airlift 1000HD...
Driving the kids to school today and my front centre channel, dash and door speakers quit on my 2021 Rebel with Alpine system. Anyone know of a fix or common issue? Wanting to avoid a dealer trip if there is an easy fix due to the number of ice times my kids have this week and next for hockey...
An ED that is not optioned out (payload over 1400lbs is a minimum) would do this just fine. I tow a 7600lb 33’ trailer a lot and it handles like a champ. Way better than my former Hemi.
Very similar consumption on my EcoDiesel when towing near max GVWR. Seems to drink the stuff towing, but get almost 2.5 times the mileage on def when not towing.
Required by law. The local police like to set up road blocks and ticket anyone without them, often. The mountain passes this affects are nasty and usually only without snow for 6-8 weeks in the height of summer.
Ok, I have the oem Duratracs on my 2021 and noticed they are not snow rated like the aftermarket version. The thread doesn’t look any different and I can’t find any difference in Good Years specs. Anyone know why they don’t get the snowflake mountain rating and aftermarket do?
Was hoping to not...
As noted, that is the A-pillar making the noise suggesting the door is ever so-slightly out of alignment. The body tech should be able to adjust the door so the weather strip makes more contact at the top to eliminate the noise without additional weather stripping added.
I have the airlift HD on my Rebel and the bags aren't full height like the 4th gen. They help a little with sag, but not near as much as the 4th gen as the top 3-4" of coil has no bag in it so they flatten out, leaving about 3/4 of the sage it had before bags and the bottom portion with the bag...
I have a 33’ x8’ wide trailer and would not tow without the moose antlers (tow mirrors). So far I have just under 5,000km on my 2021 and 1900kms of towing, so I may tow more than most. If you have the option I would go for the power fold tow mirrors, not the power trailer manual fold mirrors and...
