To be honest, it seems that the dealer didn't do a good job repairing the head. Reignited on YouTube documented a shotty repair job. I'd be curious what all they did for the repair.
I know this is a Ram forum, by my wife's Hyundai does the same thing. I took it in and had it checked under warranty but was told there's no leaks. My 19' Ram doesn't have this smell to my knowledge as I never noticed it.
I just wanted to share my experience as I just changed my front and rear diff fluid with 10k on the clock. I have a 19' 5.7 4x4 with a 3.21 diff. The front diff was actually low with no visible leaks and I ended up using Redline 75w-85 GL5 gear oil (the front diff is made by ZF). I used Mobil 1...
It should be noted that the oil weight is very important for the cylinder deactivation to work correctly. Most of the accounts of seized lifters was due to incorrect oil. That being said I have a huge stash of shell gas truck and Mobil 1 Extended Performance.
I have a 2019 longhorn with no issues. No sunroof and have the 8.4 inch screen. I have the etorque hemi and really like it, you can't tell when the system operates as it's super smooth. If you read up on the eco diesel, it seems solid but has some problems with oil leaks and if you don't drive...
I was nosing around under my hood the other day and found the 10mm bolt that holds radiator support hose bracket was loose and backing out. You guys that are looking under your hood should check that the next time you're there.
Technically I paid $1640 because I also bought a warranty for my Alfa Romeo, so I got a $50 discount on both policies. My Alfa Romeo QV though was quite expensive for the same warranty of 8/100; but a new engine is $30k. I also just had some warranty work done and a new radiator was a $2k job.
I got the 8 year 100k max care warranty with $200 deductible for $1690 for my 2019 1500 longhorn from Clay Robins Motors. Pretty good deal if I do say so myself.
Dealer mark-up is 200%. You can figure the dealer paid half the price they're charging you and FCA paid half of that price is what it cost to make it with some margin included. Parts is a good business.
So why can't we just buy the cartrage itself and don't include the damn cap. My Alfa Romeo is the same way and it makes the filter insanely expensive. I had a Hyundai Genesis and had the same type of filter and I only bought the cartrage for $7; it came with a new crush washer and o-ring for the...
