Add me to the recall list -- 2020 ecodiesel Limited, just got the official Mopar notice in the mail yesterday. I tried to access the "notify me when parts are available" part of the website but got a message it is down for maintenance. I suppose it will be down until they get the replacement...
I had a similar issue a several years ago with a Jeep. Turns out it was the voltage regulator. Got too hot and it shut down ... everything died. It would cool off and then run fine for about 20 - 30 min and then shut off again. The Jeep didn't have all the modern electronics just a key to...
Thanks for posting this. It is good info. I have a great shop (not dealer) who services my Cayenne and it does not have adaptive cruise. They told me they do not have the proper alignment machine to correctly align the vehicles with adaptive cruise. I was going to chime in on that point...
I have had a Diamondback for a year or so now. Love it. Very secure and very watertight. If you need a fully open bed, then Diamondback may not be for you. But I have to say their customer service and quality of product is outstanding.
FYI - My passenger side visor just broke exactly like yours. I took it in, and still under warranty, but the visor is on National Backorder (whatever that really means). The service advisor thought maybe a couple weeks, but we'll see. Definitely a lot less complex than the driver side visor...
Can't help with the version numbers but with SXM Guardian, try these 2 quick tests. They work with 12 in screen system but not sure about the 8.4 in screen. Here goes ...
Test 1 - test emergency services
1. Turn off your cell phone so the truck does not see it and won't use it to make a...
I had my dash replaced a couple weeks ago under warranty. 2020 1500 Limited - dash warped on the upper right side of the inset piece just above the instrument cluster. It was noticeable but not terrible. Dealer immediately ordered a new dash which took a couple week to arrive. Originally...
Not yet for me. I topped off the DEF tank and am still trying to get enough miles post update to make a meaningful comparison. But based on my eyeball of the DEF gauge, I would guesstimate DEF consumption post recall is roughly equal to DEF consumption pre recall. But a few more thousand...
The main issue some of us have been having with the software update is with the connected services, in particular Sirius XM Guardian. If you never subscribed to it then the update may appear to have been installed correctly but if you did subscribe, then you can check it out by pressing the...
I just had the recall work done (also in California) but I did not get the form mentioned above (I just have it stated on the service order that the emissions recall work was done). But I did get the same FCA recall notice in the mail. I have a Porsche Cayenne diesel and had similar work done...
Not sure if this helps as it may be apples to oranges but I have 3.92 rear with e-locker on my 2020 1500 eco diesel and I do not get the sensations or sounds you mention. I currently have about 23,000 miles and it is smooth in operation regardless of cold start or warm.
Yep. I can confirm this too. I have my 2020 1500 Limited in at my dealer now and I was just informed that the general star case also will no longer allow for replacement of radios. At least that is what I was told. They said as of Feb 2022 the star case states no new radios (for now). The...
Fingers crossed for you. I'll start the same process in a week or so, so I am very much interested if the brand new radio works as it should. Good luck again !!!
My understanding from my service manager is that these are not brand new out of the box radios but rather rebuilt(?) ones with all the necessary subscription, wifi, etc etc stuff added from Uconnect and matched to truck and vin. That's why we have to return our old radios within 15 days so they...
That's really disappointing to hear. I'm scheduled to go to the dealer in a couple weeks but if they can't even fix it with a replacement radio, then, I'm not sure it is a very good idea. may wait until there is actually a fix. :(
If the mobile hotspot is the same as the truck WIFI via AT&T then, no my WIFI has been working fine before and after the upgrade. I have had times when I lost WIFI in the truck but I turned the truck off and back on (actually exited the truck, locked the doors with the key fob and then opened...
Your comment about missing software on the other radios makes sense as I just met with my Ram service manager at the dealer today and explained what has been happening. She seems to be very open to finding a fix and says a new radio may be the best route but may open a Star case as well...
I'll wait to hear from you and see if the 3rd radio makes the fix. I have to take my Ram in tomorrow for service work and will talk to the service manager and describe my conversations with Uconnect. If they agree on a new radio then I'll try it after I hear if yours is finally fixed. Good...
Yeah it is all software but no one seems to know where the issue resides in the software and how to fix it, at least yet. I've been dialoguing with them since just after Thanksgiving which that should have been enough time to get a fix out to us, or so I thought. I'm pretty sure the dealer...
