Ok, I was able to make a little more progress on the truck. I ordered some vinyl overlays from TVD Vinyl through Etsy since they had the closest red to my wheels. I have to say so far I am extremely impressed with the overlays, they feel like they are high quality and the owner Rich was great to...
Generally a 2” puck won’t settle any. A 2” puck from any of the good companies will lift it exactly the 2” and stay there. If you were to swap coils then you would experience settling.
In my opinion not having the ANC makes the install much easier. By not having the ANC you just need to splice into the speaker wires coming out of the back of the head unit and connect them to the speaker level inputs on your kicker amp. Then you take the outputs from your amp and send them to...
I made the switch from a 2017 Tacoma double cab to my 2019 big horn crew cab about a year ago and have no regrets. I went with the 5.7 hemi (non etorque) and I easily get the same if not better mpg as I did in the Tacoma.
I usually don’t tow heavy, but the ram is of course hands down a better...
I would watch the video linked by @Waterfowler41. He does a good job of explaining what you need to do to wire a LOC.

I have the rugged liner in my truck and it has worked out great for me. I used the D57U19 model. They are under $300 as well; I got mine from summit racing.
Another picture for anyone that wants to see:
I think that gets us all caught up now. I am hoping to finish my “white out” this weekend so that there is no more chrome left on the truck. I am also going to redo my emblems that were done with plastidip so that they can be done with the...
Once the lift was on I decided that all of the chrome needed to go. I thought about going to black out look, but decided it would be better to do something different. So I picked up some white plastidip from Home Depot and got to work. I started by doing the emblems first and realized the white...
Ok, time to continue the build now that I have some time to update this thread. I knew from day one that I wanted to lift the truck; I of course read all of the threads on here and didn’t really see anything that fit my end goals. I liked the Mopar 2” lift, but it didn’t give me enough height...
Hello everyone!
I figured it was time for me to throw up my build for anyone that wants to see. I have done a few modifications to my truck so far and it seems to be a never ending wormhole.
I had an F150 and a Tacoma before this, but decided it was time for a change.
Here is a photo of the...
I used the motofab rear lift spacers and they have worked out for me. I ended up doing 2” on mine, I would have went the spring route but couldn’t find any rear replacement springs that provided enough lift.
Here is their 1” rear lift, the nice thing is that you can order their parts from...
Welcome! I am also from Arizona and traded my Tacoma in for a Big Horn.
I’m sure you’ll enjoy the new truck and the added pep of the 5.7 over the 3.5 in the Tacoma.
I agree, the general consensus is over 3” you should be replacing the UCA. With the 5100s at 1.5” and the stock 1” of lift already on the truck you’re at 2.5”.
Switching out the UCAs though for the ones I mentioned in my previous posts certainly will not hurt. Since the UCAs I used were pretty...
The short answer would be both. Anything above 3.5” should be a drop bracket lift because you are taking the stock geometry far from what Ram designed and that would place additional strain on all front end components. I would be highly suspect of what it would do to your cv axles as well.
I’m...
I would say you could use 5100s as opposed to the ORP springs if you wanted to. But I wouldn’t recommend trying to achieve over 3.5” of lift without going to a drop bracket style of lift.
Awesome, there is no better surprise to come home to.
I don’t remember if you planned on doing the install yourself, but if you do I would recommend marking the orientation of the top strut mount to that of the bottom strut mount.
In my infinite wisdom I did not do that and ended up having to...
This is the jack that I have and use:

These are the jack stands I use:
Pro-LifT T-6906D Double Pin Jack... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074R17GL4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
They have worked well for me so far.
