I thought one can reuse the existing fuel pump. That's a big expense.
I also thought a crossmember is required to install the fuel tank skid plate. Following is what I researched before I dismissed the fuel skid plate idea due to the compromised ground clearance:

Two questions: Does she have Irish blood in her? and if so, are you SURE she didn't whisper "That's One", ... or worse, "That's Two"?
In case you're wondering:
"Mr. & Mrs. O’Shea were celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary in their small village in County Kerry. Their domestic tranquility...
Just in case you forgotten about it, the dash menu needs to be cycled to audio display in order to access the Tazer.
Every now and then my Tazer triggers some protection mode, mostly due to me deviating from expected pre-programmed behavior (multiple door lock/unlock sequences without turning...
Funny, I don't recall any of that when my dad used to pack a family of seven with all provisions for a two-week desert excursion (late seventies in Arabia) in his army surplus 1966 Landcruiser.
Those OEM cargo management rails are sturdy, so molle panels might be redundant. The sliding cleats along those rails are rated at 320 lb each. Fastening straps can be securely attached to those cleats or the rails themselves for most needs.
Post #544 lists the mounting hardware needed for the 33-gallon tank skid plate and an optional front crossmember. My understanding is the list excludes reclaimed mounting hardware from the replaced shorter skid plate.
If so, what if there weren't a pre-existing 26-gallon tank skid plate? What...
I'm not overly concerned about waiting long enough until the last possible drip. Most automotive fluid drains are partial anyway and what old fluid is left gets diluted by the fresh fluid. Examples: Transmission pans trap some fluid unless dropped; Engine blocks trap some coolant unless...
Living in a mountain home, I had my share of gremlins and invaders in and around the house and vehicles. Tamest, a mouse or two in the footwell. Most common, bears munching at the apple trees. Scariest, a coral snake in the bathroom. My kid observed it till it slunk into a crack in the wall. We...
Today's transmissions are so finicky and mindlessly designed, and with elaborate fluid change procedures, that a dipstick becomes a warranty liability. I'm just glad RAM doesn't ask for dropping the whole transmission to do a routine service. Subaru CVTs require a complete tear down just to...
Yeah... right. Blame the wife! ;)
Seriously, sometimes it's the silliest things that can drive us crazy. My old Subaru once had a knocking/rattling that I spent weeks trying to diagnose, which amplifies when idling. You should see me using a large funnel attached to a screwdriver as a...
Once enabled, ParkCam auto-engages whenever a front sensor picks an object. Problem for me was that engagement locks out the screen for anything else for the remainder of the trip, unless and until I shift to Reverse or to Park/Engine Off.
I never tried TurnCam, though I could see its value...
I'm Curious if the following PIN Lock behavior is standard or just model year-specific. Here's a typical scenario: I park, turn off the vehicle and wait in there till my kid joins me after finishing her music lesson. Restarting the vehicle would prompt me for the PIN. I would have preferred it...
I have a Tazer DT with 18.2.4 firmware on my '23 Longhorn, with InMotionNav enabled. Still cannot enter addresses into my UC5 screen while the truck is moving.
Regarding the TurnCam behavior you mentioned in a previous post, I get similar behavior with ParkCam enabled. Once triggered by an...
You've been insidiously assimilated by your RAM. I got a hint I was heading to grandpa territory when during the several weeks I was researching RAMs, online ads targeted at me shifted to indigestion remedies and boner pills.
My 1985 Bronco II needed a permanent diet of STP fuel additive to prevent rough starting/stalling in the early nineties. Bought used with 80,000 miles, then. Good times... grad student on a tight budget.
