Luckily mine came with the full liners from factory.
I usually gend tend to overdo things. I’d rather over do it once and right the first time and never have to touch / worry about it again
A washer with a different nutsert may help, but if your gonna go through the trouble of putting washers why not just get nut and bolt em on anyway. I thought about the work needed if you wanted to remove them after having them bolted, but then again how often / why would you need to remove them...
The Avery pearl white is very close to the ivory tri coat pearl. its a little brighter but not by much. I made some bumper plugs out of carriage bolts and wrapped the heads of them with the Avery stuff, they match almost perfect with the bumper. Unless you knew it was different you wouldn't...
Having a nutsert tool would help with installation for sure. Had I had one thats the route I probably would've went, but am kinda glad I went with how mine are mounted.
The way I did the install ( with nylock nuts and fender washers ) is way more robust. it wouldn't take much force to pull a...
Yes I got all 16 bolts in. I’m not saying it was a walk in the park but with some patience do able. You’ll also need someone in the bed to work the bolt side while your under the truck putting the washers / nuts on and snugging them up
Im looking at getting one of these, but am finding conflicting model numbers for which one to get. Ive seen the SPRDO029 being used and the SBDO1053S is whats kinda listed for our trucks on the website ( all its listing for is the DT chassis )
So which one is actually the correct part number...
Your truck will likely ride a bit better with 18’s due to more sidewall. Probably won’t handle the corners as well though. It won’t be terrible just noticeable.
Where red in Canada are you? I’m in Nova Scotia and here we don’t see a lot of ice caked roads per say so I can run an all terrain...
I bought a set of Mopar steel wheels for winter use, I didn't get the TPMS installed in them, as the dealer said the truck will go into " winter mode " and not have a TPMS warning light or chime keep coming up on the screen.
I did the same setup on my '16 ram and while it did go into " winter...
I just got factory steel 18" wheels for mine , got tires from Canadian tire when they went on sale. This saves my good wheels from the winter salt etc and makes change over from summer to winter easy. 18" is the smallest wheel that will clear the brakes.
Factory tire size for 18" wheel was...
I remember seeing a thread where someone found the tailgate release wire and connected it through a resistor to ground and it popped his tailgate.
While it won't be connected to the factory switch, doing this to a small momentary push button switch would give you in cab control of dropping the...
You could use a ground somewhere around the rear bed area, I was using 16/2 wire ( think of speaker wire in a sheath ) when I did mine so I had both power and ground ran in one cable inside the cab anyway.
The plus side, having the ground in the cab theres less chance of corrosion getting to...
I put in the Flowmaster flow fx muffler. Easy install, 1/2 hour start to finish including getting the tools needed out and putting away. I was also working on the ground.
The sound is amazing, deep and mellow with ZERO drone at all. While cursing down the road, you can barely tell anything...
I put a Flowmaster FX on tonight, exactly what I was looking for, nice deep rumble that isn't loud inside at all. While cruising either in town or the country, you don't even know its there.
Like others have said before its how these trucks should sound from the showroom floor.
While browsing this forum , I haven't seen any mention of anyone painting the engine cover of their 5th Gen.
On the " other forum " in the 4th gen section, this was a very popular mod with some great ideas and beautiful work done to the otherwise boring black pieces of plastic that cover our...
