My First Oil Change - Some Notes for those interested in trying it themselves

I never have a dealer service visit without some error....Too much oil, too little oil, air filter left out..etc etc etc....Last week I thought I had broke the streak..I had just a tire rotation and a recall on the wiper arm...I told them to NOT change the oil that I was doing that....All was...

    Skip e-torque?

Its nothing more than added unnecessary complexity to an already extremely complex vehicle.....no biggie while the truck is new and under warrantee....just something else to break down the road..really glad I dont have it.... One reason I bought a Ram was to avoid auto start-stop....

    Harmon Kardon Sound

SXM sound quality sucks !!!! Whats wild is how different the stations are EQed....Watercolors sounds pretty good with significantly less compression and good low end..Some other stations sound like they are under water.... SXM is just not a very good product in my opinion...

Spooked a little by so many complaints here!

I believe it's just the font. Mine is like the above pic. When you change the big screen and the speed number gets smaller and moves to the top, it is the same way. This tells me it has nothing to do with the actual physical screen and has to be written in the software for it to be "2 tone". All...

Spooked a little by so many complaints here!

All forums are more steered towards issues, problems, complaints...people dont just log on and post "had a trouble free week with my truck"....That being said, with it being a new model and all the new technology, I would say there is an increased chance of an issue. That does not mean you will...

1st Oil Change Questions - Warranty voiding...

It really doesn't make sense financially to do your own changes. I let the dealer do mine for years. However, after many return trips due to too much oil, too little oil, loose filter etc. I decided to return to doing my own. Its definitely worth the piece of mind. They put the lowest paid, most...

eTorque and Cabin Cooling - Real World Reports Please

I am very happy to have still been able to purchase a vehicle without auto start-stop (E-torque). RAM is now making it more difficult to get an highly optioned non-eTorque truck. Soon, it will not be an option at all. If I am not mistaken, other that Toyota, you cannot buy another half ton truck...

Used oil analysis report at 4,165 miles, why to change factory oil early!

I have not been doing my own changes over the years. However, my last 3 dealer services have resulted in necessary return trips. 1st, too much oil...2nd, Not enough oil, 3rd left out air filter (yes, it was gone and airbox laying there wide open).. So I decided to do my own from now on......RAM...

    Cover for Heated Steering Wheel

Has anyone used a cover over their heated steering wheel ??? Any issues with it ??? I like a thick steering wheel and have also seen some reviews where the quality of the leather was lacking and it started peeling. Could the cover cause it to get too hot ?? I know it will insulate and not be as...

My Ram is SO MUCH more enjoyable to drive now!

My wife and I both do the MPG game...its just something to do for entertainment...She has actually had her average on her 2 door 2019 JL Wrangler Sport to 28 MPG (indicated)...I cant keep my RAM above 20 MPG to save my life..like I said, just something to do, means nothing....

    4 wheel drive vibration

I also notice slight vibrations in 4 auto that are not present in 2WD, mostly in steering wheel....not a big deal, the front drive shaft is engaged...the transfer case will then decide when to send power to the front, but those spinning drive shafts can cause a little mechanical buzz in the...

Just drove my 2019 Laramie on a 1900 miles trip

Its great to read a good positive experience thread...Forums are riddled with issues, problems, and bad experiences. Just by nature, people usually only post negatively on forums, often to find answers and advice, so its totally understandable....These really are amazing trucks, far above the...

Anyone ever pay off your truck early and get threatened by dealership that you are responsible for a penalty?

How could they possibly do that ???? The payoff number is Gospel...they cant just add $500...and do what ??? hold the title until you pay it....no way in hell

What's the No. 1 thing that disappointed you the most about your truck ?

I couldnt agree more... I am a lifetime Ford guy...The interior of the current F150s is crap... No comparison to the RAM...I realize there may be a higher possibility of issues with the RAM, but that doesnt mean anything... Its all luck of the draw..any brand can be good or bad... I love my...
