@ DJ --- nice job on the lighting... looks bright... I know you added some interior lighting but can't tell from post or pics if you have the factory ambient lighting. The factory ambient are under the front driver and pass front foot well, under drivers and pass seat.... there are also two...
The panel switches look and feel like switches and knobs but they are sending data to BCM, that's were all the magic is done. One wire can send multiple commands from multiple switches/devices... You can't add wires and relays from these 'switches' ...

If you are referencing the plug behind the head light switch and dimmer, I believe all wires are present-- you leave as is.... Look at the BCM and locate C6 and see if the wire is present... If it is, I think if you change the switch to one that has a dimmer/ambient knobs and make the proper...
My plug is exactly like the pic you posted... the wht/gn wire is the ambient wire but you don't pick it up at the switch itself; our trucks use mux/data/resistance to send multiple info down one wire -- network like. You need to find the body control module, drivers side kick upper towards...

Sorry for delay... some basic wiring knowledge is required for this mod. The old light assembly and connector must be removed and replaced with the new assembly and connector. Use the reference url posted for connector pin-outs, look at lamp footwell lighting basic/premium --- the basic is a 2...
I went the OEM way... you do have to remove the old light assembly and connector; install the new factory assembly, new connector, and an extra wire for the ambient side of the light... i added one under each side of the dash and one under each side of the front seats in the factory locations...
For those of you who wanted or were thinking of adding auto HVAC to your ride it is possible. I followed the posted video and just adapted it for the 8.4 radio. I needed to install the two sensors and change my radio shroud to have the Auto HVAC buttons. The final step was to add the function to...
I actually just did the exact opposite, Old to New style.. The old style is only a two pin style, so you would just use the black and yl/vl .. tape off the wt/gr.. You will loose the ambient light feature with this setup tho.. also you will have to replace connector and pins as they are not...
Another shout out to Swifty on his leg work to even making this possible, Thanks Bud!! All my harnesses and accessory add-ons are finally being delivered, but slow going because of the present day situation. Not only am I adding passive entry, I am also installing OEM ambient lighting to each...
Digging thru some older files that I got on 4 different servers... I have to have an older version.. Stand-by...
