IMO, that price tag is mental for a 2 year old truck with almost 20K miles on it. No way Jose. Like @Andymax said, talk to MD and try to get a deal on a new one. If you need something right now immediately, go for something cheaper/lower trim, order new, and then trade in. My two cents.
Mine is a little bit off actually, but I'm getting a leveling kit put on soon so I need realignment at that point anyway. Just dealing with it for now. There's a very slight pull to the left.
Appreciate the info man, I feel better lol. Now we'll see if my shop guy feels better too, otherwise I'll have to find someone else to do it. Would rather give the money to him though, he's a good dude and I don't blame him for being apprehensive about it, he's never worked on anything with air...
What we were concerned about is the system just slowly releasing all the nitrogen out of it while the truck gets worked on. Wasn't sure if tire jack just stopped the system from adjusting itself or if it actually cuts off the flow, like with an interior valve or something.
Yeah, it's just my local dealers (all of them) are getting slammed right now, so if something happens and I need a nitrogen recharge, I may be SOL for weeks.
I'm actually trying to get this installed but my local shop guy is worried about having to disconnect the air suspension. And honestly, so am I. Tire jack mode pretty much takes care of that…?
Anyone tried this? My shop guy thinks he can avoid messing with the air ride system but cutting a 3/16th inch slice through the spacers so that they slide onto the posts. Thoughts?
We've had to switch to different brands, or different items entirely, and just plain skip a handful of things over our last several gorceries.
Don't get me wrong, we have everything we need and I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill but for this to be happening over a year after...
Appreciate you guys posting these. The more I see y'all with 30-foot, 5500+ dry weight trailers, the more I feel like my apprehension over going too big with the trailers I'm looking at (with smaller numbers than that) is unwarranted.
Granted I have a Limited so my payload just straight up...
