It's not just limited to the 5.7 and Rams. My last JGC did the same thing. I want to say that was a 2017? I can't remember. I had a 2014 JGC before that. I do not recall that one having the problem though.
It's a Mopar thing. The last time it happened the gas station attendant (I'm in NJ) said...
Mine only has the fuel fill shutoff bug now and then. However, I have the 33 gallon tank and I think for whatever reason, it doesn't seem to happen as much with the 33.
My 19' Rebel went through all the fun issues. Various leaks, cracked rear window frame, bad e-torque, bad battery, and I just...
The coolant on the cylinders is a non-issue. That's typically what you'll see from an engine tear down. It seems out of the passages in the head and block. It would take a long time to form rust sitting like that.
I think it, unfortunately, just happens. My cousin had a brand new GMC Denali...
Wouldn't mind it but the harness has the ones I posted. It was bought from a private seller who has an ebay channel. The harness that's in the truck has the male version of the Weatherpacks. The Lights themselves pigtail to the female connector. I had to buy the crimper and connector kit with...
No pics but I fixed my grill lights (again). The marker light LED's seem to go bad. Good thing they are available on Amazon for like $2 a piece. I am actually getting halfway decent at crimping Weatherpack connectors. For those who don't know, these are Weatherpacks.
You sort of have to bully-them around a bit. My rep at my now preferred dealer I don't have to. He's really a great guy. With the manifolds I sent him an email saying "It's a 100% broken stud. I'm looking at it right now and the exhaust shield moves." "Response: OK got you in for the 27th and...
Where are you finding the LubeGard? I can't seem to find online?
And are you adding it to compliment the recommended 7 qts? Or filling to 7qts on the dot with the LubeGard?
I was very tempted to pull the trigger on the Phoenix at basically $779 shipped with the discount code. After seeing the problems guys are having with the cluster flickering on and off and killing batteries...I think I have to wait till there's a fix.
Seems like a smoking deal though. The...
The reality is we are at the upper echelon of owners by just being on this forum....most of us, at least. I feel for the person who knows absolutely nothing about maintenance, mechanical things, etc.
I lease most vehicles but now actually owning my truck, I really keep a close eye on services...
Didn't seem like it was fun. Too much money, not enough brains.
I would say it also looks like it hurt financially but I imagine money isn't as much of a concern to him.
The one dealer I do not like has a habit of charging people diagnostic fees if you don't have the work done there. They tried to pull that my rear window, which my preferred dealer actually got covered after under warranty. It's remarkable how dealers can vary so much.
Not sure if this has been posted but...ouch....

It's a sad world we live in where they won't provide a physical owner's manual anymore because they like to change it at-will, to suit their liability/need.
To this point: Did they change the owners manual?
Someone recently recommended I switch from 5w-20 to 5w-30. I vaguely remember in the owners manual there WAS (not any longer) an oil viscosity chart based on operating temperature conditions.
Mysteriously...I can't find it. As you know, the...
Seriously? That's glaring. I'd probably try and find another dealer to start.
Beyond that, lower rear bolt on the manifold. Pull the exhaust shield a bit. If it moves? Stud is broken. First generation manifolds it's usually the stud. Second generation the manifolds just tend to crack.
I told...
