Last truck was a mid range Tacoma, and all the great ideas on that forum ended up costing me probably 3 grand. That said, I’ve driven a beautiful truck for 9 years that has made me very happy every day I drove it. This time I ordered a Limited, so there’s not much to add.
So yes, go out, get...
I ordered 8 weeks ago and have 2-3 weeks left. In retrospect, I probably should have checked the first time at week 7 or 8. Would have saved a lot of angst, and in the end not have made any difference at all in how long it took.
On the build page for the Limited the Hemi comes standard and eT is still $500 more. Maybe it just needs to be updated. If they’re throwing it in they must certainly need more trucks going out with that engine to improve their CAFE score.
I factory ordered a 1500 Limited with eTorque in April. During negotiation this was a $200 up charge over the Hemi, and when I placed the order it had increased to $500 (still got the $200 price).
I just received my window sticker — it clearly lists the eTorque Hemi, but there’s no additional...
Button for Ram Chat is dead, won't open
I ordered from Aydin at Bud Clary. I got them to lock in the incentives in April, and we both signed a purchase agreement to that effect. I’m also eligible to get the incentives at delivery if they’re better.
A bit late to get a signed purchase...
Strange thing with the eTorque. When I started negotiating for my Limited the upcharge for the eTorque was $200. When we got around to placing the order the cost had increased to $500, as it shows on my build order, but the dealer honored the final price we had already agreed on and he ate the...
I have a Retrax and Bedrug in boxes in my garage waiting for my truck that’s still 3-4 weeks from delivery. On the upside I got a killer deal on the Retrax through Nick at GotExhaust, a vendor on Ram Forum.
Used truck prices are scary high right now, I think because new inventory is so limited. I paid $31K for my 2012 Tacoma. I’m seeing comparable trucks listed for sale at $26-28K. Even if I only get $26K for it that’s only $5K depreciation after 9 1/2 years! That’s crazy!
These are strange times. Under normal circumstances I’d fully expect the factory to prioritize sold units. But with the chip shortage and limited inventory for sale at dealerships, I also understand why they might prioritize keeping their high volume dealerships happy by feeding them new...
For those keeping score on the active air dam, the build sheet for my Limited with air suspension lists fixed air dam and active air dam delete. I doubt I’ll get the token $85 refund for the delete as I believe those that are air ride equipped aren’t “supposed” to have the active air dam.
