This was my finding too when I worked hard to lease a Limited. A lot of incentive money evaporated on the lease cap cost (and the mf) that could still be had on a purchase.
Interestingly enough, after sitting overnight the wifi hotspot it is back working normally as before.
I tried to get it working yesterday for the better part of an hour with no success. I had also several times left the truck off for an hour or two, but the results were the same.
There must...
Yes, I am aware of the option for hiding the SSID, but I have not found any option to do so on the Ram system.
Anyone have any conflicting info about options to hide the SSID that I have not found, please let me know.
While I have read that there is supposed to be a conventional 12v starter on a 5.7 eTorque motor, I've am curious:
a) where is it located (haven't crawled under myself to look yet)?
b) under what conditions is it used vs. the eTorque motor/generator starts?
c) I'm curious if they built...
Yes I have cycled it on/off and changed the SSID and password, plus cycling it on/off again. I can't imagine that the antenna is a critical piece when I'm only 2 feet away from the radio, but I will certainly check it.
Any other ideas appreciated. Seems odd to have it die.
30 days in and the WiFi hotspot looks to be functional but the SSID is not visible on any device I've tried. It used to work. AT&T is probably not the issue since that account is paid/automatic.
The Uconnect menus all look like it is working but changing the SSID and/or password looks to work...
I had the chance to do a trip today and decided to test what I could get on the MPG/trip meters. Granted not validated by actual fuel pumped vs miles, but I am hoping the MPG gauge in the truck is pretty close.
90 mile each way is almost all highway with speed limits of 60, 65, 70, and 75...
Buglet 1: If you set the nav guidance volume to 0, it will not return even when set to something other than zero until the system is turned off for a while.
Buglet 2: I don't think there is any difference in guidance volume at 1, 2, or 3 and I don't think there is any. For me, guidance...
I have not had the truck all that long, but I have only gotten a FCW alert once. Granted I drive defensively and put more space in front of me than most people. The only alert I got was with a right turner in front of me that was rather slow to make the turn. I did not get any braking, only...
I've used it with 3yo many times. He prefers to hold the tablet and fiddle with it himself.
The slot fit depends on your tablet and case. I've used it with an iPad mini in an otterbox case. I think a standard un-cased regular iPad also works. My little guy has an uncontrollable inbred thing...
I'd also like this feature (lock & fold).
I'd also like a way to turn on the mirror puddle lights when inside the truck without opening a door. Maybe there is a way but I have not found it.
A very interesting question. The above is probably accurate, although I have no data either to help prove it.
The highway test circuit has some slower/faster bits, according to the EPA, but no stops. As I understand the eTorque modes, one of the modes is rev matching the engine for up-shifts...
I found this to be true, particularly at the right time of the month, etc. Depends on the dealer and getting them competing on specific VINs in stock you'll accept.
It figures if there are no around you can park without assistance. I tested both modes the other day and it does a fine job as long as there are cars to sense and only one truck-sized space is open.
The whole thing is just slick, slick, slick. I like so many things about it:
1. Vented seats front at back I can actually *feel*.
2. Adaptive cruise control works very well.
3. Stop/start with eTorque is butter.
4. All the background things eTorque is doing when you're doing something...
Great find. Would have like to have had those ram boxes, but wanted to make the jump.
I'm very curious tho - exactly how long are the ram boxes? I've never seen it mentioned. I've got a 12 gauge thing I would like to put in them when heading to the field :)
Great looking truck!
Getting ready to have the same swearing session.
I saw where Subaru put theirs on recent vehicles. My hat's off to those engineers. You could change it wearing a tuxedo.
