Updating Uconnect is always a gamble... I struggled w/this decision on my Gen 4. Sometimes they worked w/improvements, and sometime they make things worse. I’m completely happy w/everything... apps, audio, etc., on my Gen 5 and may never update it :D

Sounds like the Speed Adjusted Volume is enabled. Go to settings and turn it off to see if that helps. Note: the settings are: Off-1-2-3.
