Not always an option depending on time of year. I just bought one in Austin and kept the truck for an extended test drive on a warmer day. It seemed fine, but didn’t seem to cool super well when fan was low and pulling in fresh air. But set to max or auto I saw pretty cold vent temps.

Maybe they are referring to the higher trims. The rear seats in the Limited and perhaps the Laramie Longhorn have leather seating surfaces vs the Laramie and most competitor trucks. Usually the rears are fully vinyl.
Here is a pic of one of my front seats. The skirt is most definitely vinyl...
You can feel the difference for yourself. It is pretty obvious. Feel the rear bench and compare the part where your body (butt or back) makes contact to the front seat. Also compare the different panels on the front seat. Even visually there should be a difference. Vinyl has a very uniform grain...
Not directly related, but you have to be careful when you hear phrases like leather seating surfaces and 100% leather. Leather seating surfaces means that the panels your body touches are leather. The side and rear panels are vinyl. This is typical for most vehicles. In many trucks such as...
if you look at the Westin mat, the under surface cleats look the same as Mopar. I think I may go the Mopar route just to stay OE. I found it pretty inexpensive at BAM Wholesale Parts @ $124 with $20 shipping to me. Also guessed at a SAVE10 coupon code to save a few bucks. There is no tax.
What is the bottom surface on the Mopar mats? Also, is the rear mat soft rubber or more like thin plastic? Does it match the fronts? If I recall the Husky X-Act from my F-150 they have cleats on the bottom - particularly the rear single piece. This makes them hard (and painful!) to place...
Okay, so I did a chat with Mopar support again today. I just asked the agent what the listed owner was for my VIN. It was the business name. I don’t know what they key from to identify an owner (name, address, email...) but the agent asked if I owned the business and then tagged me as owner...
I think another point of confusion is Sirius Guardian. I think the system may have transitioned from something called Uconnect Access to Sirius Guardian for getting Remote access to the vehicle. This is all far from straight forward. I will eventually get this working! Maybe.
I bought a new RAM, and set up an account on Mopar, plus added the truck to my SiriusXM account. The Mopar site shows me as a non-owner, says their records don’t reflect my ownership, and that if a recent purchase may take some time. I have faxed SiriusXM a copy of the bill of sale, but...
Thanks. Ordered one of those on eBay from a previous post. I also ordered the leather one and am using it now. I was gunning for a full coverage silicone one - maximum protection for the buttons and even the key ring hoop.
I can’t believe there still isn’t a silicone cover for these keys. It isn’t a brand new key anymore. I want full coverage that the silicone usually provide.
I just acquired a new 1500 5‘7” standard bed. I came from an F-150 and really liked the Dee Zee mats. Can be found on Amazon, but you may need to hunt for the tail gate if you want that. I just covered the bed and used blankets for loading over the gate. My current truck has the spray bed...
I am on an extended test drive of a Limited 4X2 with standard gears and only seeing around 13.5. It is a good mix of city and highway. My 3.5 Ecoboost F-150 with 3.55 gears would get me around 17.5 and my 2.7 Ecoboost loaner gets around 18.5. I have not cleared the counter but will try today.
No mention of Husky? I have the X-Act ones in my F-150 and they are a great option as well. in the midst of acquiring a new Limited and researching to see what else is out there.
I appreciate all the feedback. I’m currently in a F-150 and am looking to make a change to something different. I love the interior of the RAM, but really need functional AC as I’m here in central TX. I’ll be sure to make a purchase on a warmer day and really warm up the truck so I can best...
Hi all. I’m looking at a 2020 model and wondering if this problem has been resolved on newer trucks? It was 80+ yesterday afternoon in Austin, and the two trucks I tested appeared to have solid AC. We didn’t drive them super long, but it was quite cold. Has anyone with the issue gone back to...
What trim is your truck? Sometimes those rear seats are vinyl and not leather. That is the case with the Laramie Sport. The Limited appears to have leather in the rear. Also, when they say “ leather seating surfaces” they only use real leather for where your butt and back touch. The side...
