I started blowing smoke on startup Friday-allot of smoke. Is it always something serious or can it be someting out of adjustment ? I am calling the dealer tomorrow.

so Ram Cares what happens when the window frame cracks and the vehicle is out of warranty ? Since this is a VERY WELL known defect is it covered ?

It's a real problem, and it says allot (of negative) about Ram and many dealerships. I had my truck in 4 times for repair, about 10 times total for it to be looked at, replicated, etc, etc. It took an outside glass company to get it (I THINK) . Never again Ram.

You know how I found out I had it ? I locked my truck in the driveway one day and left the drivers window down. I did not have the fob with me so I reached in to open the door from the inside - scared the crap out of me o_O

I don't care if gasoline goes to $20.00 a gallon (full disclosure- I am retired). I can drive less, get a bicycle or get rid of my truck and get a KIA. At least I have a my dog, a house , a truck and all my (too many) possessions which is allot more than most Ukrainians have now.

I said this before - IMO Ram rushed this truck into production because F150 was beating it bad (and still is). I am not loyal to any one brand, I just want a truck that's reliable. One that doesn't waste my time going back and forth to dealer , or sitting at the dealer for repairs. I am tired...

I know exactly what is going on, that is why my lemon law case has been started. I won't put more money into a money pit.

Curious - why would you put more money by buying an extended warranty into an obvious lemon ? I would have cut my losses after repairs and wheels or not moved to another brand.

My dealer sprayed WD40 on the rubber seal and said "it's fixed !!!". This and many other issues is why I am getting all my invoices together to send off to my Lemon Law attorney.

I gave up on this a long time ago, the dealer replaced my sensor - still the same inaccuracy. The other thing I gave up on is when you put the air suspension in entry exit from the fob it does not raise itself to aero automatically like it should. (That's another story in another thread). Big...

Go to another dealer. Some on here have done that and had it covered. If the frame is cracked or it's the 3rd light that is not a glass issue. A good dealer will find a way to cover it and they get paid to fix it.

Yes don't assume that. Mine would leak on and off --one day a half inch of rain would cause it to leak, the next time it rained 2 1/2 inches it did not. Depends on tilt of vehicle , and many other factors. In NC 4 repair attempts you can file LL law and so far I had 4. Warranty is done mid June...

Mine has been in 3 times for repairs on a leak somewhere that showing up on the rear window. See my other thread on this issue I started. Going in for the 4TH (and last) time in 2 weeks. I want to dump this POS, I have a $ 2,500 ARE cap on it I'll take a beating on as well.
