Hmmm. You’re absolutely sure the pins are all the way in? You’re sort of unhooking the red piece of the harness that locks the pins in, before inserting the new pins? You should feel them very much pop/lock into place when they’re really seated well.
Ummm...I guess also double checking that...
Thanks for the info. I just went and unhooked the sub (via connecter at the enclosure). It’s comical how much better the system sounds. The door 6x9’s handle everything TOTALLY fine. Wow. Problem solved. Done and done.
Hey there. I know this is a little old, but what Kicker amp did you go with to power the factory sub? I’m in the same position. EQ to the factory sub is hideous. Wanna get it a flat signal.
Yeah, they definitely won’t look as mean. These 10 ply tires are heavy as hell too. Got to looking today and didn’t realize how drastic the weight difference was.
Yeah it’s an electronic release scenario for me as well. Any time I open and then close a driver’s side door, wait a few seconds, and it unlatches.
I wound up unhooking the electronic latch via the harness, and am just using the key to unlock, until I can get it fixed.
Side note, I actually...
I know lots of people have posted links, but if you’re looking for another option, I am extremely pleased with this one. Plus it’s “Amazon’s Choice”, which means that Jeff Bezos has it installed on his personal Tradesman...

I actually had a Bighorn Sport, but I just really like the looks and extra bells and whistles of the Rebel. Not saying that I’ll NEVER take it off-road, but it’s not what I do for fun like some other folks.
I realize this is probably a little sacrilegious for an off-road intended vehicle, but has anyone put straight up highway tires on a Rebel? I do zero off-roading. I’m curious if a highway tire would result in quieter/smoother ride, and/or improved MPG over the stock Duratracs.
Thanks for the update. Mine had stopped doing it for a couple of weeks or so. The other day, fired up again. I realized that any time I opened and then closed a drivers side door, front or back, that a few seconds later I would hear the electronic latch on the RamBox release. Like clockwork...
I would highly encourage reading your way through everything just to wrap your brain around all the little tidbits that have been discussed, but at a minimum, start at Page 12, Post #239. That’s a parts list of what I used, and then I do a sort of write up of the process a few posts, or maybe a...
As far as I know, and from reading a few other threads as well, no one has been able to activate the cargo cam option on a non-nav 8.4. I could totally be missing someone doing it, but I haven’t seen it anywhere.
