Put anything really heavy on the tailgate recently?

I popped the optional bed lights installed by the dealer and spliced into those wires You have a cargo light about the bed/rear window. That light is wired to the tailgate opening/closing Just need to find that wire!

Amazon has a lot of led strips kits available I wired mine into the existing bed lights (which don’t light much) so now everything comes on when open tailgate or hit the unlock button

I suspect interference from an external souce.... could be that other truck, but maybe LED lights in the parking lot?

You’re in a 5th gen group, and looks like your question is aimed for a truck that is not a 5th gen….. Stay as long as you like! But be aware a 4th gen group would be better equipped to handle your questions and offer better suggestions!

I’m sure they could help with that - either slap it on or give/sell you a small piece to do it

When you get in…. By then yeah you want them unfolded. But the issue if parked in a tight spot is getting in is a little tougher than when you got out. They should have an option to not unfold on remote, but then unfold on inside start.

Other issue is snow/ice buildup. When folded in, there’s a spot where snow/I e accumulates and interferes with mirrors unfolding. Gears are well documented to be subpar, and I suspect this could cause issues. I disable the auto fold for winter.

I have this setup with the TazerDT My only issue is remote start unfolds them. So say you back into a tight spot, turn off the truck and the mirrors fold in giving you a bit more space to get by, and so far works as everyone would prefer. Remote start unfolds them, and by the time you want to...
