    Boogielander Build

Thank you for sharing your northern excursion with us! You'll have memories for a lifetime. I heard an old timer traveler/overlander talk about how important it is to go over a trip when one gets back home to cement it in the mind, but you've got a helluva head start with these posts. Great work!

Spare 35 inch tire hitting trackbar?

I saw another post on here where someone said their 35" tire fit in the spare spot no problem. I had a very different experience with my 35" spare. I couldn't even get it to fit up in the spare location, it hit the track bar and the hitch. I ended up cutting my hitch apart and welding it back...

    Mold/mildew smell from vents

Sometimes bacteria can grown within the fresh air inlet system. Smells can range from wet gym clothes that have been sitting around to sulfur-ish, to rotting food, either way, yuck. One way to address it is to pull the cabin air filter, run the AC on fresh air inlet, and spray something like...

    Moaning-Droning-whatever: very frustrated

Not sure of the OP got a fix. I am late to this post, was looking for something else when I saw it. Does the truck have MDS? I had a similar problem and discovered that a noise my truck started making, very similar to a loose drive chain on a motorcycle, or droning noise, which only came on...

"Shift to P then Desired Gear" Error

You're welcome! I was just passing on what another member found. So my truck has almost 80,000 miles, a bit more than 25,000 miles and now you got my curiosity going, so I'll have to check the lash on my throttle body. Did you check the lash by manually pressing on the butterfly valve until it...

    So i have the clunck

Suggest disconnecting the end links, then take it around the block and see if the clunk goes away. This will be step one in isolating the noise. Let us know what happens?

Transmission falling out of Drive on downshift, blinking, displaying "shift to P" and back

When I took mine apart, I looked for hours, but could not figure out how to change the jets.

    Dash cam

This post has the key on and constant locations in the fuse panel below the steering wheel. I'm using F33 and F66 with fuse taps. https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/hard-wire-dash-cam-install.550/#post-6846 Locations in the photo below.

    Dash cam

Sounds like you identified the cause, the power source (USB splitter from mirror) is causing the issue. Would you consider hardwiring it into the fuse panel under the steering wheel?

    Dash cam

Funny, my dash cam just started the on/off/on/off/on/off, turns out my rear camera has died and caused this malfunction. From the interwebs, it sounds like the majority of the cameras that decide to go on/off/on/off/on/off by themselves are caused by the SD cards. Try reformatting the SD card...

Engine Wire Harness Issue - 2020 Ram 1500 Bighorn V8 Hemi (non e-torque)

Agreed on the mouse, might want to check the engine bay for a mouse hidey-hole/nest. Another option is, you could try Permatex liquid electrical tape (or another brand), available at parts stores. Used it once to save a harness in a hard to reach spot.

    Nitto recon 35x12.5 r18 versus Nitto Recon 325/65 r18

From information on the forums here, you will need about a 1.5" spacer to fit TRX wheels on a Rebel. Run a search and those posts will come up.

Transmission falling out of Drive on downshift, blinking, displaying "shift to P" and back

Let us know if you figure out the software aspect of this effed up drop into neutral. For my 2019 Rebel, which was dropping into neutral a few times a week, I cleaned my TB on August 4, 2022, and it has not dropped into neutral since the cleaning. That's almost two years without this d*mb...

spare tire on 2019 ram rebel

I was able to fit a 35" 12.5" BFG in the spare tire location, but it required some cutting and welding. Initially I tried cranking the 35" up into the spot, because I saw a couple folks on the forum stated they fit a 35 in there, but it didn't work on mine, as it hit the panhard bar. I moved...

Help with the ole tick tick tick

Great news it's not the lower end making noise! Upper valve train, while not ideal, is a bit easier. Hopefully it's something that can be remedied without pulling the engine, like pulling a valve cover. Maybe this? Found this on tappet noise: HYDRAULIC TAPPETS Check the oil pressure before...

Help with the ole tick tick tick

What that dealer did is messed up. They should make it right. FWIW - I've never taken my truck to the dealer, bought it used, but I heard enough stories about negative experiences involving work on trucks at dealers that I decided never to take mine. In case you can't get gaskets at the...
