Idk about September; seems late to me. The new tailgate just revealed. Ram says 2Q availability (Mar to Jun 2019). I was assuming THIS would coincide with the 2020 MY. Also the ecoDiesel. Ram says will be available summer 2019. I'm assuming also this will be a 2020 MY truck.

Why would this weigh 75 pounds more than the regular tailgate? Surely a few more hinges and latches don't weigh that much. Given this, and Ram's comment that the box needs to be replaced for retrofitting, is most of this weight due to beefing up the box sides to handle a swing gate?
