I forgot to mention that my parking sensor actually froze over while out on those trails that day (my guess). This kept the truck from knowing it was in Park. The whole underside of my truck was basically an ice block and I suspect there is a physical sensor on the exterior of the transmission...
Actually it should be pretty easy to fab up some tube that follows the horizontal contour and also mounts to where the current recovery points bolt to the frame and, as you said, have a single eyelet mounted to the tube! This will provide a frame for a front skid plate too. Awesome, thanks for...
That's because you've maxed out the suspension travel on the highest setting. It has no rebound room when used on rough terrain. The same reason trucks don't ride well when cheaping out on big lifts.
Pretty self-explanatory. The only thing that's not so obvious is that you'll want to relocate some of the wiring harness for the parking sensors. I just zip-tied them higher up. Oh and you'll have to remove the air dam and lower active aero, but I already removed that awhile back. Most people...
I was already scrapping front and back pretty equally. As stated in the OP, I will be working the rear bumper next. Every little bit helps with the departure angle being so poor.
I've been looking, but yet to find anything. I'll probably end up having something fabricated for me. Lots of room under there with plenty of mounting points.
My Xmas project was to add some more clearance to the front of the truck. I’ve already scraped it a few times.
I didn’t like any of the aftermarket bumpers available for the truck. I also didn’t like the added weight they bring since I’ve already added like 500 pounds to the truck and it’s...
My understanding is that you can use the ORP springs on the Mopar kit (I already have the updated mopar kit installed). 2 questions:
1. I've only seen people install the ORP spring on the front of the Mopar kit for more of a level look. I assume the rear ORP spring will work too...?
2. Does...
18% fuel increase? Unless you you tested this in any sort of scientific way, I call BS. Could you imagine a car manufacture leaving 18% fuel economy on the table these days?
Let's say you get 10h-15hp out of it. Do you really think you could feel that in a 5500 lb truck? No. I'd like to see...
Yeah, I already had plans to do a diy bed liner on them.
I used the hidden winch mount from @VICE design.
With the added ~500 pounds of gear I need a stiffer spring rate on the truck now. I’ll either reach out to Eibach, who did custom springs rates for me in the past, or swap out the Mopar...
