Mopar Lift with ORP springs installed and measured.

Just added them to the front of my updated Mopar lift. 20x9 on a 34” Tire. I’ll probably go 35” next.

Mopar Lift with ORP springs installed and measured.

I haven't seen an actual answer to this so I figured I'd post it. Today I installed the ORP springs onto my updated Mopar lift. It measured as a 1.5" (D) 1.75" (P) increase over my non-ORP springs. It's now basically perfectly level. Does seem to ride a little stiffer, but I'm not 100% sure on...

    Rebel got a little wider.......

Damn, I was literally about to order these in carbon. I was just waiting on Fiberwerx to get back to me on how "bolt-on" their kit was. Their site says "Bolt On Installation With Factory Hardware ". Yeah, after many many labor hours are put into haha. I knew it was too good to be true at those...

The OFFICIAL Answer......... MOPAR Front Upper Control Arm (UCA)

Wow, thank you! I like how that guy posted that, but no one really discussed it. They only care about what size tires everyone is running lol. Someone needs to update the first post with that info! Edit: I see the OP stated the same. Those pics are good confirmation.

The OFFICIAL Answer......... MOPAR Front Upper Control Arm (UCA)

The wear and tear part makes sense to me. So I guess I have an extra pair of UCAs for when my "mopar kit" joints go out :)

The OFFICIAL Answer......... MOPAR Front Upper Control Arm (UCA)

So are we thinking that the Mopar kit UCA was really just meant for the early production trucks that did not have the air ride UCA by default?

    Overheating the 4x4 system

Thanks for the confirmation. I might buy an infrared temp gun to get an external temp reading on the TC when I do the testing on that bypass switch. I've always wanted one of those anyway. I've been a Red LIne and Motul guy for a while now, but I'll look at BG too.

How many miles on factory tires?

I got about 200 miles out of mine.....

    Overheating the 4x4 system

If I remember correctly, RAM says that the TC fluid is life (or was it like 100k?). I'll be changing mine out sooner rather than later. I also question how the truck knows the TC is overheated. Is an actual temp sensor or some algorithm it uses? I bet it's an algorithm it uses to estimate. When...

    Overheating the 4x4 system

Yes, that's big willow! I did the Roval at Autoclub too. That was my favorite track. Here I am there in my NISMO 370z which is a cousin to your g35. My first two weeks of the truck I had wheels, tires, and the Mopar lift :ROFLMAO: The hills were like roller coaster rides. Video never does...

    Overheating the 4x4 system

Thanks! I appreciate it! This is my first truck, but I love all things automotive and exploring what they can do to the best of my ability. I came from the car scene. Did lots of racing and track days in SoCal. I got the truck because of moving out to the Arizona mountains. I told myself I was...

    Overheating the 4x4 system

Nope, no locker. At the time I got my truck there weren't any on the lot. I knew the BLDS system would get over most anything a locker would. It just may take a little more time and speed lol. I didn't know about the clutch issue though. I've never done any fluid change on the truck other than...

    Overheating the 4x4 system

Thank you! I'll read it once I get through that other discussion thread on RAM Forum. I think I'll probably go with Brandon's switch (if he releases one for the 5th gen) and if/when the TC fails out of warranty do a direct 44-45 swap. If I have the truck that long. It appears the 5th gen has a...

Took an angle grinder to my bumper

Not really my sytle, but it is one of the less offensive bumpers I've seen. Does not look like it would work with my winch though. I prefer a lightweight tube/baja style bumper.

    Overheating the 4x4 system

ORG should not have the issue. Most people with-out ORG will not see the issue either. See @devildodge reply below. Yup, been reading that thread for the last 40min or so. Lots of good info. I already posted asking about 5th gen options. See if Brandon replies.

    Overheating the 4x4 system

Yes, it's actually a good system and does a fairly good job of simulating front and rear lockers . I've been impressed with it so far and why I didn't mind getting a truck without a locker. It reminds me of the electronic diffs used in lots of cars to simulate a mechanical LSD. BMW, McLaren, etc...

    Overheating the 4x4 system

Makes complete sense. Same issue with some AWD cars during track days. I didn’t realize the 44-44 used clutches. I knew what I was getting into when I didn’t get the ORG and letting the electronics mask not having a locker, but didn’t know about the clutches. Thank you for the insight! I do...

    Overheating the 4x4 system

Went out today to do some more exploring with my son. Was wet and muddy. Ended up getting a message on my dash that the 4wd system had overheated and that 4wd performance is reduced. In the video you can see that the truck basically keeps switching back and forth to 2wd mode at around the 3:18...
