Damn dude, the magnet idea is awesome. I can think of 100 reasons why I would need to move the light to face outward, I think I have my next project....
1. I installed one strip on each side.
2. The white and tan wire is for the cargo light mounted on the top of the cab.
3. The link in my original post is for swapping out the factory incandescent light to led.
It’s often called “rail dust” pretty normal on light colored paint. It is caused by train brake dust that gets on the paint in transit. It can also be caused by the brakes on the truck. (usually behind the front tire) It’s superficial and comes off with a little jewelers polish.

There’s plenty of space behind the plugs, but because of the plugs you’d have to keep it back about 2” behind the plastic grill. But aside from that there’s enough room.
Yes, there's room but you have to remember there's plugs coming out of the back of the parking sensor. So for a longer light bar to fit it would have to be set back into the truck further so it doesn't interfere with the plugs or wiring.
I've been having this problem since I bought the truck and just checked to see if my system had an update available, it said my system is up to date. Has RAM said they've released a patch to fix this issue?
