Hey everyone, I'm currently running Falken AT3W's in size LT285/65R20 E rated. Couldn't be happier with the performance and life out of these tires. However after 80,000 miles they are starting to show minor signs of wear and are getting a little noisy. Sometime around this coming summer I will...
Very sharp looking truck! The bigger tires definitely help fill the wheel wells and complete the look. Glad you’re happy with the engine speed as well. Are you closer to 2k rpm at your ~78 mph highway speeds?
Another vote for the front brake clips/hardware. Mine made that exact noise you're describing when moving in slow traffic, as well as a chirping rattle when going over bumps when not on the brakes. With the brake pedal pressed the noise over bumps went away. I replaced my hardware with...
Well, now that winter is on its way another glow plug has decided to bite the dust. this time I have 2 codes: P06BA and P0672. both point to the number 2 glow plug circuit being open. Hope this isn't going to become an annual occurrence. Going to call the dealer today and see when the truck can...
I am currently running Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws in size LT285/65R20 (34.5 inch diameter) and have the speedo calibrated. at 70 mph I sit at just below 1800 RPMs, I don't crack 2,000 RPMs until about 77-78 MPH. At 70 MPH I see about 24-26 MPG.
That having been said when I had my stock tires...
1) The 275/55r20 Falken WildPeak ATW all terrain tires that came with the ORP on my rig treated me very well, albeit they were only on the truck for 8 months. They saw rain, snow, and mud and performed pretty well in my experience. Quiet enough on the highway and aggressive enough to give good...
So, driving with the turbo plumbing disconnected essentially bypasses the air filter allowing dust and debris to enter your engine. Pulling over and getting a tow would've been the best option, but of course hindsight is 20/20 and I don't know what your circumstances were. Driving the truck in...
Do you keep anything on your dashboard? Hats, rags, sunglasses, anything that could block the sensor may not allow it to work correctly. Also check that the sensor is clean of dust.
As a second option maybe check out your settings in the EVIC/Radio screens. Maybe the previous owner turned the...
Same here, never got the regen message until I got it GDE tuned (I selected the option.) Before then I just had to keep my eyes and ears open for the raised idle speed (800RPM compared to 650RPM) and the change in exhaust note at low speeds. In My experience my truck does a regen every 30-40...
That all makes sense to me, appreciate the replies guys. For reference, the 3.0 liter cannoli factory under the hood of my truck pushes about 40 to 50 pounds at cold idle in gear and between 16 and 19 at hot idle in gear. If I put it in neutral at hot idle it hovers at around 19-20. At highway...
Former Hemi owner here, does the 5.7 have an actual oil pressure sender/sensor? Or does it use the computer to "estimate" the pressure like the EcoDiesel?
Yes I have. Nothing extremely heavy, mostly just boats up the launch ramp, not a single hiccup doing that. However I did have a friends Chevy Colorado crew cab give up the ghost in Vermont a few winters ago. Towed him up some two lane in the snow to get him to a dealership near Stratton, VT...
Like HSKR R/T above, I have the 4 auto T-case and have never had an overheating issue in 4WD or 4 Auto. Mind you I've never taken my truck rock crawling, but in the mud & snow or while towing my trailer it hasn't let me down in either mode, Auto or 4WD.
