So I went into Aplha ODB and set the AC to dual zone MTC. Works well enough now until I get the auto cable. you post triggered me!
still need some input please on the software version in the attached photos. Thanks
UPDATE: I figured out my “duh” last night and got 39.7 installed. Everything...
Need some help after upgrade please. I installed a new radio tonight, and a used center stack. Made the two changes in Aplha ODB. functions are gradually coming back online such as CarPlay, backup camera, etc. however,I have NO AC controls that work. I had an 8.4” with manual AC. Do I need to...
What color do you need? I have a white set of power folding mirrors. The right glass has some light scratches due to a moron using a dirty clay bar on it
They’re not touching my truck. When I asked for an update for an issue I had, CLEARLY defined in a TSB, they wanted me to leave my truck for a week. So, they don’t get to touch the software on my truck. Period.
So later this week, I’m upgrading my 8.4” non-nav system to a 12” UAX in my 2020 Bighorn. My son has a 2017 Ram with the 8.4” non-nav, but without CarPlay. I’d really like to install my unit in his truck so he will have CarPlay. Has anyone done this conversion?
Thanks
Regarding current pricing. I have a 2020 8.4 with no-nav. I just spent about $1800 on all the parts last night. All new. Folks on eBay are wanting more than that for used. now I wait for delivery…….
Question for those who purchased these. In prior years, there was an internal support bracket to order for the extra weight of these mirrors. I have a set of the brackets, but they won’t work on a 2020, and I cannot find any part numbers for 2020-2022 supportbrackets for 1500’s. Did any of you...
BTW - I've driven in the single digits several times lately. Yes, the shift is "harder" if you will. But I do not find it terribly annoying. Hope that helps.
I believe the tune I initially received in January was the new tune. I love the entire package. Turbo lag is gone, plenty of power. The truck is snappy. The initial “cold” mannerisms from the tranny do not bother me at all. Shifts are crisper, even downshifts are.
For me, I’m extremely happy...
So we purchased a 2020 Solaire RBS 249. As it sits, it's about 6200 pounds. I pulled it the first time last night to new storage area, about 20 miles closer to home. I've installed a ProPride hitch. The winds were about 20 mph, which clearly pushed me around some. But, NO sway. Very pleased...
So GDE sent me my tranny tune about 9:00 last night. Quick install. Which was good, as I was supposed to fly from Austin to OKC today, but the flight was cancelled. So I was able to hop in the truck and go……
observations after 400 miles
- I see the tranny TC lockups when the tranny is cold...
Just to let everyone know, the GDE mail in process DOES work. I came in from a flight Monday PM. Pulled the PCM and took it to UPS about 5:30. It arrived at GDE yesterday, and I received it back today. I don’t have the tranny tune file back yet, because it was in the UPS truck “out for...
All, I just purchased a 2020 Solaire 249 RBS. Will be pulling with my Ecodiesel using. ProPride 3P hitch. Empty weight is ~5500 lbs and gross is ~7400 lbs.
I’ve run Cooper ATP’s for year. https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/cooper-discoverer-atp-ii/p/88138 these have always been great...
My biggest issue is the dealer wants me to leave my truck for up to 5 days before they'll update the PCM per a TSB. FIVE days! And no, they won't schedule an appointment as "commercial" diesels come in all the time and the implication is they pay and get priority over a consumer with a warranty...
How did you guys get the dealer to put the latest TCM and ECM updates on before the tune? GDE’s instructions state you have to be at the latest updates. Thanks
