Well we got some warm weather to melt a bunch of snow over the weekend, then some freezing rain, and now some light snow on top so good mud flap testing weather.
They seem to be performing pretty well. The rocker is still taking a little bit of spray (as expected), but the weather techs are...
Yeah after doing the install yesterday - my plan is to wait for nicer weather where I can run the hose and take the flaps and maybe the oem trim pieces off too and thoroughly clean and apply PPF to that whole area. Can’t hurt.
Yup. They’re designed to fit on over the OEM spats. I think that’s part of the way they’re able to design them as completely drill-less as those spats have additional connection points that then help support the flap.
It does look a little odd in a few of those pictures, but in person it’s...
I actually like that it doesnt beep at you.
With a truck there are many instances where one would need to get out of the cab while it’s running to load or unload something from the bed, hook up a trailer, etc...
It would annoy the hell out of me if my truck beeped at me every time I did this.
Well finally got a day where it wasn’t -30 degrees in MN and I could wash my truck and throw these flaps on.
They went on pretty easy and look good. I have a big horn so these are the non-flare versions.
One thing that concerned me is when I removed the trim hardware and pulled back the...
I'm sure many local truck/auto accessory retailers in your area would carry them.
I purchased mine locally at Radco here in MN. https://radco.com/
They were about 80-ish out the door I think. 10.00 off regular price + tax
For those who have installed the weather tech flaps: I'm doing mine tomorrow, but my question is - Are you using the 3M paint protectant tape or anything like that on the body of the truck so these don't scuff up the paint over time or are the contact points not necessarily painted areas?
I don’t think so. I actually had the truck in 4 Auto when I started it as I park off the side of my driveway in the snow so I throw it in 4 when I back up into the driveway.
I switched it out of 4 and into 2W without any issue while the lights were doing their blinking.
I think the issue...
Earlier this week after a particularly cold night with the truck parked out in the driveway, first the remote start didn’t work, didn’t think much of it, but then hopped in the truck and fired it up and you could tell it was ice cold as the engine gave a nice groan on start up. But here’s an...
Picked up my new big horn last night.
I posted a little about my ram box issue in another thread but wanted to post about it here in case someone has the same issue although I feel my situation may be unique.
My truck has the ram boxes and one of them works perfectly, the other does not.
When...
I did. The key fits, but doesn’t seem to turn it, but it’s also hard to tell as the lock isn’t set in anything, I’m just holding it freely.
I’m going to the dealer to get my ram box fixed next Wednesday. I’ll ask them about it.
Found this in my glove box. No part #
Anyone know what this is? Extra for the ram box maybe? Or door? I guess they’re keyed the same so maybe either? Don’t think I’ve received a spare lock with a vehicle before.
Ahh unfortunately mine does it with the engine on as well. We actually noticed both that issue and the ram box issue while still with the sales guy after the purchase doing the "hey let me show you all the features of your new vehicle", but of course by the time we found the issues it was 5:10...
Well I'm impatient so today I bought a big horn... :D
I decided the black appearance package was too much for me and my selection of trucks with ram box within hundreds of miles of me on lots is very minimal so I got a nice loaded big horn with the ram boxes and with the incentives how they are...
How was this install? I assume you need to drill into the bed? I try to avoid that, but I like these rails and the mopar divider? Did you use touch up paint or something on the holes in the bed to prevent rust down the road?
Out of curiosity looking at the models and trims you are, why are you so adamantly ruling out the raptor when you love the look? There is no disputing the performance backs up the look. What’s the issue you have?
