Good to know. I've noticed there's an "extra" blank page on my dash cluster. Not sure what that would do for any reason so maybe I clicked something through there. Truck is a 2021 bighorn level 2 if anyone has similar. I would appreciate the help before feeling stupid at the dealership lol
Well I was looking through the alphaobd settings last night since I just got everything. I don't think I actually changed anything, but now truck is saying service 4wd. Obviously I made an error with something, is there a way to go back and see what I may have did or could it just be a fluke. 🤦
So I'm about ready to do this upgrade to my truck and after I ordered what I think is everything something occured to me. Do I need a different tailgate handle to open it? Or does it not work with the proximity entry as far as unlocking. Thanks for the insight
Care t tell me how you managed to get them to even look into this? I can't seem to get as much as a legitimate scan without having a check engine light or code come up.
So been reading and think I'm about to swap from the 8" non nav to the 12", I do have a semi relatable question. I have the 7" color dash cluster, but since it's a non nav truck I don't have access to the backgrounds and options like that. Will switching to the 12" make that possible or is there...
Since
Even with my new battery mine still randomly drops to battery voltage. Only difference I see is that the Northstar floats closer to 13.0 and takes considerably longer to drop to 12.6 than the stock batt did. I'm sure it's set like a pcm controlled alt so only charges when it's told to...
I just swapped a Northstar group 31 into mine. Stayed around 13.6 for a bit then right back to the same numbers. I'm not happy with the voltage but as long as it increases under load as it should I guess all is well. I'm about to wire up my aftermarket stereo once these 100° days take a break...
10 volts would likely explain the radio glitching off, I would imagine that's around the cutoff voltage for it. How many miles are on your truck? Noticed any leaks on the coolant? Has to be going somewhere
I've been looking for door panels as that was first thought. Being so new tho prices are pretty high, and none local so shipping as well would be rather expensive. Could just do some custom work but I'm a tad scared to put a new truck under the knife
So, being that I decided against the higher end stereo options which I would have swapped anyway I'm looking to see if anyone has cut the door panel to add the mid higher in the door like the hk stereos have? Or if anyone has a link on the stock speaker grill so I can at least make it clean if I...
my concern comes in with adding aftermarket equipment which has LARGE amp draws. I assume like a pcm controlled alt it will adjust to the extra demand, but glad to know its not only my truck that is acting this way. My stock batt seems to float around 12.5 which seems low to me. @Ramjack also...
I have lol. Even ran my own gauge to compare while under load. Typically if test at the power stud on the alt but not reakly how this truck works. And haven't taken the time to pull back seat yet to test
Yea. I have a couple load testers both read weak on the front battery. But cant tell them nothing lol. Going to upgrade soon anyhow. Glad to hear that it may actually help and not just my way of thinking tho
