Lower Control Arm Ball Joint Squeak

Has anyone ever had a lower ball joint squeak? Mine started squeaking just this past weekend and it took me a few days to figure out exactly where the noise was coming from. It's definitely the lower ball joint, but I'm trying to assess how much of an issue this is. I had a 2.5" level spacer...

    2021 1500 Laramie Transmission question

I've felt this too, and it almost feels like the "hill start" feeling. Where the truck will hold the truck still long enough for you to move your foot the gas pedal. If i'm stopped on a hill it's very obvious that the brakes are being held by the truck itself when I lift my foot to hit the...

Why does my truck 'fish-tail' so easily on gravel roads ?

Yeah, 60 in the rear is a lot and you should feel it drives alot smoother on roads too. More controlled rear end and not as much rear end hop on bumpy roads and potholes. But then again jamb stickers give payload rating (yours is 1396 i think) so that tire pressure still may be high for...

Why does my truck 'fish-tail' so easily on gravel roads ?

Leafs are good with loaded beds and hitch weight. But unloaded driving I much prefer the coil link rear end Ram has. Articulation with a 4 link rear and sway bar is still better than leaf springs. Only time I find the rear suspension lacking is when i'm hauling a bunch of stuff in the bed or...

2020 Big Horn - Not mean looking... help

Yeah that looks really good. I can already sorta see my LCA's as my tires are tall, but definitely like how it looks seeing them more. I already have lots of highway road noise between tires and radio, so probably won't notice any increase lol. Thanks.

Looks good. That's what mine would look like if you added a few million love-bugs.

2020 Big Horn - Not mean looking... help

Ah ok. Seeing more LCA's would be cool. I could see more road trash flying up maybe. I'll crawl around later and see how bad that would be.

Why does my truck 'fish-tail' so easily on gravel roads ?

Yeah sounds like just a lack of traction in the back from tire pressure being too high. That's some pretty high tire pressure. What does your door sticker say? I know Rebels seem to list a high tire pressure for some reason, but it's not as if the truck weighs enough on it's own to warranty...

2020 Big Horn - Not mean looking... help

How long have you had yours off for? I've never really looked into the pros/cons of taking off these air dams but after seeing yours and a few others just now I'm ready to rip mine off today after work. lol. From the front is there anything hanging too low that can be seen? Like something that...

    everyone hate there 3:21 gears?

Yeah, looks about like what I'm getting. Setting tires to real height of 31.8" and using 1925.517 RPM I'm getting 84.7mph. Same RPM the 3.92 will be at 69mph. At 2360 rpm in 8th gear the same size tire will be at 104mph. 2300rpm at 101mph. For 3.21 that is. Bump it to a 34.7" tire and at...

    Engine temp is erratic

Is this happening while parked? Or just while driving? Thermostat should open at 195 I believe, but if you're driving and the engine temp is climbing to 225 then dropping to 195, then I'm not sure what that is. Once I get up to temp my truck runs around 220. Coolant temp is lower. But while...

2022 rebel with a 3 inch Fabtech level lift with 35’s

Tire pressure needed is based on the weight of your truck and payload. Regardless of what the door jamb sticker says for recommended psi, you should do a chalk test. Rebels always seem to have high psi shown on the jamb sticker, even though it doesn't really make sense with non-rebel rams. My...

    everyone hate there 3:21 gears?

Ah ok, yeah I was just on the other side of the state line then.

    everyone hate there 3:21 gears?

Also, just because some 3.21 final gears line up with 3.92 finals gears doesn't mean that 7th and 8th respectively perform the same. Engine RPM through transmission, equates to same driveshaft RPM. Change comes with the rear dif ratio which means the 3.92's wheels rotate one time for every 3.92...

    everyone hate there 3:21 gears?

Have to factor in tire size too. I have 35" tall tires, and I show 1900rpm at 90pmh. Flat highway in louisiana. Surprisingly well paved road too, (for louisiana). That's with CC on and set to 90mph.

    everyone hate there 3:21 gears?

I've never looked at my RPM while driving over 100mph, but I know its a speed I can cruise in with 3.21's and 35" tires. On the way home today I'll see what my highest cruise speed can be with CC without going over 2k rpm. Probably 85ish or 90 maybe.

    everyone hate there 3:21 gears?

All things equal but the axle ratio means that a 3.92 truck will be better for torque while 3.21 is better for speed. Top speed mostly, but also acceleration at higher speeds. Even then, when it comes to 0-60 runs the 3.21 could have the advantage depending on how long the 3.92 holds it's first...

    Hemi lack of power

How do you normally drive? Pretty mild? I know if I go a few days of easy takeoffs and normal acceleration then my shift points tend to retrain themselves to be granny gears. I have to drive a little wild before it goes back to holding gear longer. Also, do you have larger tires? Have you had...

    Hemi lack of power

Yeah the throttle cut-out is pretty huge when I try to punch it in 2wd. A quick ramp up in power, very slight wheel spin detected, then my gas pedal just becomes a footrest until reduced power is allowed and I can continue. Turning off TCS doesn't seem to do too much in 2wd either. If i switch...

    Hemi lack of power

Interesting that you switch from 4hi to 2wd while running hard. I've thought about trying that but worried about wrecking the transfer case or something. Any concerns with doing it? When you get wheel spin on 1-2, how do you tell? I swear at times I get it too but don't know if i'm just...
