Looking at a used '21 Ltd with the longer bed and air ride suspension. Mileage is 81,000 kilometers. How have the new gen air ride suspensions held up in Canada? This one is in a particularly colder Northern Ontario city.
So they aren't that good I hear. Hemi was better wasn't it? Cranking out 400+ or 500+ horsepower from a 3 liter six creates lots of heat. Who here has ever, ever heard of a 5.7 or 6.4 hemi overheating from a heavy load? Never. Hemis had 2 issues the exhaust manifold bolts and lifter failure if...
The front wheels I know come off but do you need to lose the brake discs and lower control arm assembly to do the exhaust manifold??? That engine is actually quite far back in the engine bay when you think about it.
Finally...
'24 Ram 1500 Rebel with no pano sunroof, coil spring suspension, Night Package, the Alpine not HK stereo and the plain black interior. Price is right but I can tell from pictures and without even looking at the VIN that it has been sitting on the lot since Feb/March. Is it too late...
Is rust proofing and undercoating the same thing?
And then for these trucks is it best to rust proof from new or can you remove rust from a relatively newer truck and then rust proof?
And also is fluid film a good product for this? Would 3 cans be enough? How does me cleaning the bottom with a...
Yeah its not the forward and back ability, any idiot would know to adjust that. What I was getting at was the accelerator pedal being too close to the transmission tunnel and, for drivers with big feet, this would result in the right foot having to pivot to the right a bit more thus putting...
I'd really love to be able to hook up 8,000 pounds. I consider myself to be something of a truck poser. I don't really need a truck as much as I really want a truck. In no world do the things I own require something so big to haul around, but it sure would be sweat. One way around this...
If I have just an '18 Bowrider that's roughly 3,200 pounds with the engine and equipment, and then a single or dual axle trailer, and then like 500 pounds of my own crap physically in the truck's interior or bed...then isn't a 5.7 equipped LTD with the 3.21 rear end and '22 inch wheels like...
So short of the Hemi tick, which as I am learning, relates more to: a) chronic idling b) using the wrong oil c) using the oil way too long or d) the unimaginably slim chance that Chrysler does indeed build a **** V8, these Chrysler V8s really are better than the comps from Ford and GM.
So a buddy of mine bought a new Silverado with GMs 5.3 litre and get this, after 25,000 miles, the injectors are effed up. Is that even right? How can a brand new engine have deposits on the injectors? I owned a diesel Jetta in '02 that soared into the 300k's and I didn't even service the...
Does the Lifter Fail issue only apply Gen 4 and early? Heard Ram axed the failed lifter supplier and went with a new shop. Any truth there? More importantly, any Gen 5s with failing lifters? I could be wrong but you don't actually hear that much in Gen 5. Intake studs yeah but not the lifters?
This might be a dumb question but is the accelerator pedal on the Gen 5 1500s too close to the transmission tunnel? Reason why I ask is I have sometimes experienced knee pain when driving vehicles with a weird pedal placement in the foot well. My current A4 despite being much smaller than a 1500...
