I had a vette for a year. Them things depreciate more than just about any other vehicle out there. I didn't realize just how bad until I had one. Used ones is definitely a better purchase. Mine was an 11 grandsport I bought with 7k miles. Traded it in for 3k less a year later with 8200 miles...
Ram dealers are not the only ones sticking it to customers.

I was so close to getting the loaded Rebel GT because I wanted the blue. But the console shifter was a no go for me. Probably what tipped the scales honestly. One more thing to replace in about 5 or 6 years down the road. We have not had to replace one electronic shifter. We put new shift cables...
Every time I see one the wait gets worse. I ordered mine 9/11. My first was intense blue pearl, second was blue streak blue and impatiently waiting for the patriot blue. Can't wait. Did you get the anniversary model with the sea salt/indigo? They keep telling me mine is waiting for the pain...
I won't buy mine if they raise the price from what it was when I ordered. 65k is a lot to spend on anything. If they want more I will walk away. It's not going to kill me not having a nice truck to drive.
My sales woman reached out to me after I left her a message that my Toyota salesman had a loaded 22 Toyota Tundra Limited TRD off road in transit and it wasn't sold yet and I could claim it for 500.00. She told me my Limited I ordered 9/11 is waiting for the trailer brake controller and painted...
Sure they are building them with the limited parts on hand but the stars may not align at the exact right time. They may be building what they can with the parts they have available at that specific moment. Like the Toyota COO said their supply chain time for certain parts was down to 8 minutes...
I believe that is the honest truth. The COO of Toyota was on the radio saying exactly what you explained. Its the mangled supply chain. Toyotas parts time was down to 8 minutes prior to being installed on the new vehicle.
To me it's like they have a bunch of orders and just build what they feel like. Come into work and say well guys we have to build 1200 trucks today. Go pick some build sheets out of the box first us.
Spoke to my dealer this morning. Their new Ram rep is there today. He said the trailer brake controller and painted front bumper is holding mine up. He offered to change the order and speed it up. I declined because its not the the end of the world waiting.
