What's odd to me is that when I build a Backcountry with Level B, it seems to include more than my current Backcountry Level 2. For example, 2022 Level 2 didn't include 9 Speaker system or 12 in touch screen (had to select those as options). Level B does include both for 2023 Bighorn. So, I'm...
Anthony at MD has been saying no to a Laramie with Hemi and 5-7" box for the past couple days. He said only 6-4" box is available with Hemi. Can this just be a MD thing?
I didn't hear that. Just that if you want a Laramie with 5' 7" box, you can't choose hemi. Figured down to pentastar or diesel. Weird, but that's what Anthony told me when I asked him to start my order.
Based on what I heard today from Anthony, the Laramie can no longer be ordered with the hemi and short box. The hemi is only available in the 6'4" box. So, that unfortunately makes the decision for me as I can still get that combo in a Backcountry.
Appreciate the insight from everyone. Leaning team Laramie. I really wish someone closer to the Midwest would come close to MD prices. I think they are amazing to deal with, but the distance stinks.
Nice. I'm close to ordering a Laramie from Anthony as well. I also just picked up a set of BTS wheels off a 2023 with zero miles (they sold the tires off of them) and plan to put them on my Billet Silver night edition Laramie. When you say you went base wheels...was that an option? I thought...
I agree with you on the bumpers...and will add that they chip very easy.
Nobody in the Midwest will come close to Mark Dodge. The closest is Granger in IA but still not as good. I'm in Wisconsin.
Hey arod...hardly seems like it's going on 2 years since we were waiting on our Backcountry trucks to arrive. I'm now over 31,000 miles on mine. I agree, the seats are really nice on the Backcountry. I didn't have any issues on my 2020 Laramie but I know some others did. Good point on the...
I'm contemplating ordering a new truck from MD. I'm a little torn between the two builds below. Unless I'm missing something (which is likely) the Backcountry seems to be a better value. But, I'm guessing resale will always be better on the Laramie. I understand this is all personal preference...
Thought about that but at 1280 miles, that would eat up alot of the savings. Plus I wouldn't get the tax savings of trading in my current truck.
Who is advertising that? I know some Twin Cities dealers have decent prices at time (better than WI anyway).
My 2022 Backcountry (picked up fall 2021) now has 31,000 miles so I'm starting to think of ordering a new truck. Building a similar Backcountry now is $64,430 MSRP. With MD's 11.5% off and then 5k in incentives (my zip went from 4-5k yesterday) and the 1k private offer...brings the truck price...
Anyone know if the painted black bumpers were improved since the early 2022 Backcountry trucks? Hope Ram would do something to stop/reduce the chipping.
Reached out to MD this week. What great and knowledgeable people (Anthony and Aaron specifically). If I can figure out travel and delivery that makes sense, I will be buying from them. Will be reading through this thread today to see what everyone else did. Im in northern Wisconsin so if...
Beautiful truck. The Built to Serve wheels are my favorite of all Ram wheels. Have my eye on a set of 2023 new take offs right now from a dealer. They told me $1000 plus tax which seems really fair for a new set of these wheels and tires. Hoping it works out and they may go on my 2022 backcountry.
From what I recall when ordering my 2022, they would switch Level 2 to Level B when they ran out of power folding side mirrors. That was for Laramie and Big Horn.
