Do all of the new trucks have MDS? I've thought I felt it in the gas pedal but is there an indicator somewhere that tells when it's engaged or not? I haven't seen that idiot light on my dash yet!
If I'm doing modest hauling/towing (4x8 utility trailer etc) I never use tow/haul mode mostly because I forget. When I tow my boat (19' open open bow and tandem axle trailer) or my travel trailer (27' box tandem axle) I ALWAYS use the tow/haul mode. Getting things rolling and more important...
Nice looking truck! I would bet based on how dialed in your truck is that you did a bunch of research on the steps/rail sliders you got. Similar to what you said above, I need a little assist for my kids and wife to be able to crawl up into the truck. Generally I'm not a fan of the side steps. I...
My NITTO Ridge Grapplers are effectively 35's. A small bit larger actually and they fit great on the stock 20's. Bilstein's up front and 3/4" MotoFab spacer in the back. No rub at all.
Similar noise on mine when the suspension cycles/settles. When coming to a stop or accelerating from a stand still. I‘ve also noticed it more when it’s cold out.
I’m 90% sure it’s the rear control arm(s). I’m also wondering if I perhaps over tightened them? Is that even possible with hand...
Not a windshield but I had to replace front passenger window. OEM was tough to source because the truck was so new. I waited. OEM was more than 2x the cost but who cares, my deductible was the same regardless. Insurance even took care of re-tinting the window for me. 👌
My truck flat out gets it from a stand still or on the freeway. This transmission is absurdly good!
I would appreciate more torque when I'm towing my travel trailer. HP is fine but I could use another 100 to 150 ft lbs. I've looked into bolt on stuff but haven't gotten serious...
I should have noted that I did the air bag thing as well. I did the Firestone HD1000 kit on the rears and it works really well. I run about 25 - 30 pounds in 'em when I tow my travel trailer. Only about 10 pounds when I tow my boat.
I'm getting a little fade in front. 17k. Pads look fine. Over the years I've swapped out to a higher quality brake fluid when I tax the braking system pretty hard. And I sure do with my truck. Anyway, I've been thinking about new fluid recently.
What he said.
Lots of ways to do a level, all exhaustively covered on this forum. To me, I think you need to know what your application looks like. How do you use your truck? I do a lot of recreational towing and weekend warrior projects that require hauling stuff. I went Bilsteins...
I got the UCA's from the Mopar level kit. They were super cheap and provide additional travel over stock. I can't remember what I paid but it was under $100 and worth it for me. I'd offer that if I was going to be doing any more serious off roading than I do (river/lake beds...
Well hell. I didn't do that last part. I torqued the track bars while it was in the air. Should I loosen and re-torque? Do you have an idea what the torque spec is for those?
For what it's worth, I've got about 500 - 600 miles on it under heavy load (travel trailer, boat and utility trailer)...
That looks pretty darn close to what my truck looked like before I added the rear spacer. I was 3/8” lower in the rear. Have you measured your fender well heights? I’d be curious to know where you’re at.
BTW - really nice looking truck!
