That looks like a truck covers usa cover, they have the strap but don't think they have the lock in that spot.

Yep..there are a few threads on it. You could get adjustable links that will bring it down. Just be aware that your ride quality may suffer. I recall reading that in aero mode, you're close to the bump stops so you may bottom out on larger bumps.
The pac bypass harness does not have the canbus connections, just something to keep in mind. I believe you need them for the parking sensors and such if you're doing a full system replacement. Also, I was chatting with @Jimmy07 and he said you need to grab the canbus from by the radio. I'm not a...
You bring up a good point, what affects fuel economy the most? Axle ratio, octane, or oil? Is it some combination of the 3? Like high octane and lower viscosity with a 3.21 will give you the best but you may lose .005 if you switch to 5w-20? LOL

This might work...it would be a tough one but you might be able to get them on the technicality since it only says glass, not frame or glass trim, or something like that. Worth a shot.
Do a search, K&N filters aren't as great as everyone says they are. While I agree that an intake won't do anything, I got the vararam because it gives a nice old school look and its a third of the prices of the RAM option.
